How to open a #SaveUp account online
1. Download the BPI app via App Marketplace (App Store, Google Play Store, HUAWEI AppGallery, Oppo Store, V-Appstore, Mi Store).
2. Select Create new account.
3. Tap Yes, register to the app.
4. Confirm your nationality.
5. Read and agree to the terms and conditions.
6. Read and confirm our privacy statement.
7. Enter your mobile number and email address.
8. To confirm your details, please enter the one-time PIN sent to your mobile number and email address.
9. Fill in the required information.
10. Verify your identity by taking a live selfie to complete verification.
11. Review your details pulled from your National ID record.
If you have a National ID record:

What deposit product can I open online?
Can I open an account even if I don’t have a National ID?
Yes, you can. If your details don’t match our records during the liveliness check, you may be asked to verify your identity another way. You can do this by using a valid ID instead. Here’s what to do:
1. Choose an ID from BPI’s list of accepted IDs:
- Driver’s License
- PRC ID
- Passport
- UMID
- SSS ID
- Postal ID
2. Take a clear photo of your physical ID. Make sure all photos are clear before submitting.
3. Take a selfie to confirm your identity.
I have a National ID, but an error is still appearing and I’m being asked to verify my identity another way.
This means that National ID verification is temporarily unavailable. In this case, you can proceed using an alternative form of identity verification and still successfully open an account.
Here’s how:
1. Choose an ID from BPI’s list of accepted IDs.
2. Take a clear photo of your physical ID. Make sure all photos are clear before submitting.
3. Take a selfie to confirm your identity.
The information pulled from my PhilSys record is incorrect or outdated. What should I do?
After the liveness check, the system will display the information retrieved from your National ID (PhilSys) record for verification. You may update certain details, such as your marital status or present address, if they are not up to date.
To update your information:
1. Tap Edit.
2. Update the details that need correction.
3. Once finished, tap Save Changes to confirm your updates.
What do I do if my liveliness selfie check failed?
If your selfie check fails, don’t worry. This may happen for a few common reasons.
Reason 1: The selfie did not meet the requirements
You can simply try again and make sure you follow these tips:
● Must be wearing a shirt.
● Do not wear a cap or hat
● Do not wear glasses
● Do not use filters
● Make sure your face is inside the circle
● Use good lighting
● Make sure only one person is in the photo
Reason 2: Your National ID details are not available or do not match
This can happen if:
1. You don’t have a National ID yet, or
2. Your details do not match our records
If this happens, you can verify your identity using another valid ID instead.
Here’s how:
