Once the card is delivered at your chosen branch, you have 90 banking days to pick your card up from the branch. After 90 banking days, your card will be perforated/invalidated and you will have to make a new request which will be subject to another replacement fee to cover for the cost of the card.
You may claim your card at your nominated branch. This is any BPI branch nearest your usual location, for your convenience. For now, branch pick up is the standard mode of getting your BPI Debit Card. This would also enable you to update your Customer Information Sheet and Signature Card.
If your card is a BPI Debit Mastercard, you may request for a temporary PIN at any branch. You may pick up your temporary PIN within 3-5 banking days (5-7 banking days if outside of Metro Manila) from the date of your request.
You will need to change your PIN using your temporary PIN at any ATM to start using your card.
If your card is a BPI Cirrus EMV card, you will need to request for card replacement at a branch near you. Once you have received your new debit card, you will be required to nominate a new PIN.
You are provided a maximum of 3 consecutive wrong PIN tries. After which, your card will be temporarily blocked. It will be automatically unblocked the next day.
However, if you already had 9 consecutive wrong PIN tries (for BPI Debit Mastercard) or 10 cumulative wrong PIN tries in a year (for BPI Debit EMV Cirrus), your card will be permanently blocked. If your card has been permanently blocked, please go to any branch near you or call 889-10000 (all areas with “02” area code), 1-800-188-89100 (domestic toll-free for PLDT), and +632 889-10000 (mobile phone and international calls).
Please take extra care whenever you input your PIN to avoid card blocking.
