How can I get the JetSetProtect?
What travel insurance options are available online?
For international destinations, we offer three packages: Gold, Diamond, and Platinum. Additionally, a domestic travel package is available. Both international and domestic options can be applied to Individual, Family, and Group plans.
What are the requirements for purchasing JetSetProtect through the online portal?
To purchase JetSetProtect online, you’ll need to provide your travel details, personal information, and upload a copy of your passport. If you’re applying for a family or group plan, you must also include their information and passport copies. You will also need to provide your payment details.
I am planning a trip to Europe, and I’ve been told to get a Schengen Visa, I need a specific travel insurance package. What does this mean?
When applying for a Schengen Visa, the embassy requires travelers to have a specific travel insurance policy with certain coverage and limits. This policy must be included with your visa application.
JetSetProtect offers travel insurance that meets the Schengen criteria. Simply visit the portal, select your destination (e.g., France), and our system will display the available Schengen travel insurance options.
If you are traveling as a group, note that each individual must apply separately to receive their own Confirmation of Insurance Coverage (COIC).
I am travelling today and realized that I don’t have travel insurance yet. Can I still purchase through the BPI MS JetSetProtect Portal?
Yes. You can purchase JetSetProtect via the portal two (2) hours prior to your flight.
Claims and Travel Assistance
I am already at my destination and I need assistance. Who should I call?
For immediate assistance while on your trip, you may contact the BPI MS Travel Assistance hotline at (+632) 8231-3922.
How do I file a claim?
It’s easy. Simply email BPIMS_Non-Motor_Claims@bpi.com.ph with the required documents, which include the claim form, evidence of the incident, and supporting paperwork such as medical reports, receipts, or police reports. Be sure to check the policy terms and conditions to better understand your coverage.
Are there any exclusions or limitations in the policy?
Exclusions include pre-existing medical conditions, high-risk activities (e.g., extreme sports unless otherwise specified), voluntary trip cancellations, and travel to countries with government-issued travel advisories.
Exclusions also extend to losses related to war, nuclear risks, or illegal acts. We encourage you to review your policy terms & conditions for more information.
What happens if I cancel my trip voluntarily?
If you cancel your trip voluntarily, your travel insurance policy will not cover the non-refundable costs, unless the cancellation is due to a covered reason. If you wish to cancel both the trip and the insurance policy, you may contact our helpline team at helpline@bpims.com to request cancellation. Please note that specific terms may apply, and not all portions of the premium may be refundable.
What if I get bumped off my flight?
If the Insured is denied boarding in a scheduled and confirmed flight due to overbooking, they may be reimbursed up to PHP 10,000 for international trips, and up to PHP 5,000 for domestic trips.
My flight is delayed, how will I be compensated?
Expenses incurred by the Insured will be reimbursed for every six (6) hours of delay up to PHP 4,000 (maximum of 6 payments) for international flights, and up to PHP 2,000 (maximum of 4 payments) for domestic flights.
