Your BPI Debit Card, now on Google Pay

1. Download and open the Google Wallet app on your NFC-enabled Android phone.

2. Tap ‘Add a card” and select ‘Payment card’ to add your card.

3. Use your camera to scan your card or enter your card details manually.

4. Agree to Google Pay and BPI’s Terms and Conditions.

5. Follow the on-screen prompts to verify your card via SMS OTP.

6. Once your card is verified, it is ready to use with Google Pay.

It takes just 3 simple steps to make in store purchases with Google Pay:

1. Unlock your phone

Wake and unlock your phone using your device security.

2. Hold your phone near the contactless reader

There’s no need to open the Google Pay app or connect to the internet—just tap and pay.

3. Wait for the confirmation
A check mark will appear on your screen, and your device will vibrate or emit a soft tone to indicate a successful payment.

You will also receive a confirmation notification on your device.

With Google Pay, you can check out quickly in participating apps and online stores that support Google Pay.

Simply select Google Pay at checkout to complete your purchase in just a few taps—without having to enter your payment details each time.

You can add the following BPI cards to Google Pay:

• BPI Debit Mastercard

Currently, only the BPI Debit Mastercard is supported for Google Pay.

Support for additional BPI cards may be introduced in the future.

Yes. Google Pay uses advanced security features such as tokenization, device authentication, and transaction encryption to protect your card details.

Your actual card number is not shared with merchants when you pay.

Yes. You need to download the Google Pay app from the Google Play Store to add your BPI card and start making payments.

No. Google Pay for contactless payments is designed for Android devices with NFC capability.

You do not need an internet connection for in-store contactless payments.

However, internet access is required to:

• Add your card to Google Pay
• Receive transaction updates
• Make online or in-app purchases

No. BPI does not charge additional fees for using Google Pay.

Standard card transaction fees may still apply depending on the type of purchase.

Yes. Adding your card to Google Pay does not affect your physical card.

You can continue using your physical card and Google Pay interchangeably.

You can add multiple eligible BPI cards to Google Pay, as long it's a BPI Debit Mastercard.
