Visa Summer Shop Anywhere: FAQs

The promo is open to all Principal Cardholders of the following BPI Visa Credit Cards which are active and in good credit standing, have available credit limit, have valid and updated mobile number and/or email address in BPI’s system record.

The promo period is from May 16, 2025 to August 16, 2025. Redemption is sixty (60) days from the date of earning/posting of reward/s at the Shop Anywhere eGC Hub.

To qualify for the promo, the Principal Cardholder must register to the promo using a unique alphanumeric promo code sent by BPI to his/her BPI registered mobile number and/or email based on BPI Credit Cards’ system records.

Note: The Principal Cardholder will receive a notification message from Giftaway on his/her successful registration through SMS and/or email and a unique eGC Hub link for the Shop Anywhere eGC Hub within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the date of registration.

Validation is completed within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the date of registration. Regardless, all qualified transactions made after the date of the Principal Cardholder’s registration are already included in the promo, considering that his/her registration is deemed valid by BPI.

Example:

• Date of registration: May 16, 2025
• Registration validated: May 23, 2025 (five banking days)
• Transaction dates:
  • In-store purchase worth Php 1,200: May 16, 2025
  • Online purchase worth Php 2,500: May 19, 2025
  • SIP at Merchant purchase worth Php 40,000: May 23, 2025
• Given the date of registration, all of the above transactions are qualified for Shop Anywhere accumulated spend.

The Principal Cardholder will be notified of the registration result through his/her BPI registered contact information via SMS and/or Email in BPI’s system within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the registration date.

*Minimum single-receipt spend of Php 1,000 is required to qualify for spend accumulation

A minimum of PHP 1,000 straight single-receipt purchase is required for every qualified spend. 

Posted transactions from below are included in the promo:

• Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions at Merchant 
• Auto Charge 
• Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO) 

The following transactions are excluded in the promo: 

MCCs: Merchant category code (MCC) is a four-digit number assigned to every business that applies to accept credit cards.

The number corresponds to the type of business or service the company offers. 

Qualified transactions can be counted for completion of the bonus task right after the date of registration. However, bonus eGCs can only be unlocked for redemption after Tier 1 accumulated spend of PHP 75,000 has been reached.

Sample timeline:

• Date of registration: May 16, 2025

 • Bonus task 2 completion date (8 featured merchant category spend): May 19, 2025

• Tier 1 accumulated spend reached: May 30, 2025

 • In this scenario, Bonus task 2 has been completed on May 19 but the reward can only be unlocked on May 30

Each Principal Cardholder will have one (1) unique promo code. Multiple BPI Visa Credit Cards sharing the same customer number will be considered as one unique customer. 

No. Only transactions from your qualified BPI Visa Credit Cards will accumulate spend and will be entitled for the bonus round. 

No, only the Principal Cardholder can register for the promo. However, all qualified purchases made by the Principal Cardholder’s supplementary participating credit card(s) will also qualify for the spend accumulation.

The Principal Cardholder may redeem from any of the featured accumulated spend eGC partners in dining, shopping, essentials and eCommerce categories.

Earned eGCs can be redeemed within sixty (60) days from the posting date of the same at the Shop Anywhere eGC Hub. Each eGC will have a redemption period displayed in the eGC Hub.

● For the accumulated spend eGCs, redemption can be made within sixty (60) days from the date of earning/posting of rewards at the Shop Anywhere eGC Hub. 

● For the Bonus eGCs, redemption can be made within sixty (60) days from the date of completion of the Bonus Rounds (1 SIP merchant transaction and merchant category spend) or unlocking of the bonus eGCs in the Shop Anywhere eGC Hub. The validity date will be visible in the eGC Hub for the Principal Cardholder’s reference.

a. The Principal Cardholder must select the desired tier and claim now and choose the eGC store for redemption.

b. A confirmation page will be prompted, followed by the redemption notification sent via the cardholders’ registered contact information (SMS and/or email) in BPI’s system records.

c. Principal Cardholder will receive the eGC code from Giftaway via his/her registered mobile and/or email, with a link on how to use his/her redemption code. Specific redemption instructions are provided per merchant.

d. The redemption code is transferable to the cardholders' nominated recipient as long as he/she meets the requirements in using the redemption code and subject to the merchant’s terms and conditions.

e. The unique eGC Hub link can be found from the notification message sent via Giftaway for his/her successful registration through SMS and/or email. Alternatively, the cardholder may access the login link posted in the promo page of BPI’s website. The cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code. The Principal Cardholder will receive an OTP via his/her registered contact information for validation, and if successful, the Principal Cardholder will be routed to his/her unique redemption page via the Shop Anywhere eGC Hub. 

The Principal Cardholder can earn up to a maximum of Php 5,000 worth of eGCs (in PHP 500 denominations). All terms and conditions relating to the use of eGC code redemption per merchant, as indicated in the redemption eGC Hub, shall apply. The Principal Cardholder is only allowed to redeem once. Once a valid redemption has been made, the Principal Cardholder will no longer qualify to accumulate spend and will no longer qualify for the next tier.
