Visa Holiday Shop Anywhere: FAQs

The promo is open to all Principal Cardholders of the following BPI Visa Credit Cards which are active and in good credit standing, have available credit limit, have valid and updated mobile number and/or email address in BPI’s system record. 

Participating Credit Cards: 

• BPI Amore Cashback Card 
• BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card  
• BPI Signature Card 

The following BPI Credit Cards are not qualified to join the promo:   

• BPI eCredit Card 
• BPI Edge Card  
• BPI Gold Rewards Card 
• BPI Platinum Rewards Card  
• BPI Rewards Card 
• Petron-BPI Card 
• BPI Corporate card    

The promo period is from November 29, 2024 to February 28, 2025. Redemption is sixty (60) days from the date of earning/posting of reward/s at the Shop Anywhere Portal.

To qualify for the promo, the Principal Cardholder must register to the promo using a unique alphanumeric promo code sent by BPI to his/her BPI registered mobile number and/or email based on BPI Credit Cards’ system records.

A. Via Text-In

3. A confirmation text message from Giftaway will be sent confirming receipt of registration

B. Via Portal Registration

1. Visit the BPI website

2. Click the registration link to the BPI Visa Shop Anywhere Portal

3. Enter unique promo code: <Unique Promo Code>

C. Via Oh My Deals! App

1. Install and/or open the Oh My Deals! App by BPI Cards

2. Search for “Visa Holiday Shop Anywhere”

3. Click on the “Register Now” button

4. Enter unique promo code: <Unique Promo Code>

5. A confirmation page will prompt, confirming receipt of registration

Note: The Principal Cardholder will receive a notification message from Giftaway on his/her successful registration through SMS and/or email and a unique portal link for the Shop Anywhere Portal within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the date of registration.

Validation is completed within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the date of registration. Regardless, all qualified transactions made after the date of the Principal Cardholder’s registration are already included in the promo, considering that his/her registration is deemed valid by BPI. 

Example: 

• Date of registration: November 29, 2024 
• Registration validated: December 6, 2024 (five banking days) 
• Transaction dates: 
  • In-store purchase worth Php 1,200: November 29, 2024 
  • Online purchase worth Php 2,500: December 2, 2024 
  • SIP at Merchant purchase worth Php 40,000: December 5, 2024 
• Given the date of registration, all of the above transactions are qualified for Shop Anywhere accumulated spend. 

The Principal Cardholder will be notified of the registration result through his/her BPI registered contact information via SMS and/or Email in BPI’s system within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the registration date. 

*Minimum single-receipt spend of Php 1,000 is required to qualify for spend accumulation

A minimum of Php 1,000 straight single-receipt purchase is required for every qualified spend.

Posted transactions from below are included in the promo: 

• Local Retail Transactions (Straight)  
• Foreign Currency Purchases (Straight)  
• Online or Internet Transactions  
• Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions at Merchant  
• Auto Charge  
• Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO)  

The following transactions are excluded in the promo: 

MCCs: Merchant Category Code (MCC) is a four-digit number assigned to every business that applies to accept credit cards.

The number corresponds to the type of business or service the company offers.

Qualified transactions can be counted for completion of the bonus task right after the date of registration. However, bonus eGCs can only be unlocked for redemption after Tier 1 accumulated spend of Php 75,000 has been reached.

Sample timeline:

• Date of registration: November 29, 2024
• Bonus task 2 completion date (9 spend per featured merchant category): December 10, 2024
• Tier 1 accumulated spend reached: December 15, 2024
• In this scenario, Bonus task 2 has been completed on December 10, 2024 but the reward can only be unlocked on December 15, 2024

The Principal Cardholder can register from November 29, 2024 to February 28, 2025.

Each Principal Cardholder will have one (1) unique promo code. Multiple BPI Visa Credit Cards sharing the same customer number will be considered as one unique customer. 

No, only the Principal Cardholder can register for the promo. However, all qualified purchases made by the Principal Cardholder’s supplementary participating credit card(s) will also qualify for the spend accumulation

For Text-In registration: After the Principal Cardholder submits his/her registration via SMS, Giftaway will send a SMS notification confirming receipt of his/her registration. 

For Portal registration: After the Principal Cardholder submits his/her registration via the registration portal, a page will prompt, confirming receipt of his/her registration. 

The Principal Cardholder will be notified by Giftaway of the registration result through SMS and/or email within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the registration date. 

The Principal Cardholder must choose among the featured accumulated spend eGC partners in dining, shopping, essentials and eCommerce categories.

a. For the accumulated spend eGCs, redemption can be made within sixty (60) days from the date of earning/posting of rewards at the Shop Anywhere Portal. 

b. For the Bonus eGCs, redemption can be made within sixty (60) days from the date of completion of the Bonus Rounds (1 SIP merchant transaction and merchant category spend) or unlocking of the bonus eGCs in the Shop Anywhere Portal. The validity date will be visible in the portal for GC hub for the cardholder's reference.

a. The Principal Cardholder must select the desired tier and claim now and choose the eGC store for redemption.

b. A confirmation page will be prompted, followed by the redemption notification sent via the cardholders’ registered contact information (SMS and/or email) in BPI’s system records. 

c. Principal Cardholder will receive the eGC code from Giftaway via his/her registered mobile and/or email, with a link on how to use his/her redemption code. Specific redemption instructions are provided per merchant. 

d. The redemption code is transferable to the cardholders' nominated recipient as long as he/she meets the requirements in using the redemption code and subject to the merchant’s terms and conditions.

e. The unique portal link can be found from the notification message sent via Giftaway for his/her successful registration through SMS and/or email. Alternatively, the cardholder may access the login link posted in the promo page of BPI’s website. The cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code. The Principal Cardholder will receive an OTP via his/her registered contact information for validation, and if successful, the Principal Cardholder will be routed to his/her unique redemption page via the Shop Anywhere Portal. 

The Principal Cardholder can earn up to a maximum of Php 5,000 worth of eGCs (in Php 500 denominations). All terms and conditions relating to the use of eGC code redemption per merchant, as indicated in the redemption portal, shall apply. The Principal Cardholder is only allowed to redeem once. Once a valid redemption has been made, the Principal Cardholder will no longer qualify to accumulate spend and will no longer qualify for the next tier.
