What is Contactless Payments on MRT-3?
Which BPI or Robinsons Bank Cards are accepted?
All BPI and Robinsons Bank Credit and Debit Cards are accepted. Please note that CIRRUS cards are not contactless-enabled and therefore not accepted.
Is there an extra charge for using my BPI Card?
No. The fare deducted from your BPI and Robinsons Bank Credit and Debit Card is the same as a Single Journey Ticket.
Are all MRT-3 stations equipped with cashless turnstiles?
Not yet. Only certain turnstiles at select stations currently support cashless payments. Look for signages or ask the station staff for directions.
1. Look for designated turnstiles that accept contactless payment. Tap to enter. The system will temporarily withhold PHP 28.00 or the maximum fare.
2. Tap again at the turnstile upon exiting your destination. The correct fare will be calculated based on the distance travelled. The system will deduct the actual fare and refund any excess.
