Yes, the CCPIN can be used for Cash Advance transactions and for international in-store purchases that require the input of PIN. These include self-service or unmanned kiosks.
Is my CCPIN the same as my PIN?
If a POS terminal asks for my PIN, can I use my CCPIN?
Yes, POS terminals abroad like in European countries, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, India, Indonesia, and Malaysia require the cardholders to input a PIN instead of signing a charge slip.
It is advisable that you inform the merchant that you are using a credit card and not a debit card. If the merchant insists, then you may use your CCPIN to complete the transaction.
I still have a PIN Mailer with the Cash Advance PIN (CAPIN), can I still use it to avail Cash Advance or in completing in-store transactions abroad?
Yes, the CCPIN and CAPIN share the same functionalities. Hence, CAPIN can still be used for Cash Advance transactions and for international in-store purchases that require the input of PIN.
When and where will I receive the CCPIN?
An SMS containing the pre-assigned CCPIN will be sent to your registered mobile number 3-5 banking days from date of successful card delivery.
Can I request to get the CCPIN via email, direct mail, or phone call?
No, the CCPIN will only be sent to your registered mobile number. Please make sure that your registered mobile number with us is updated.
