Mobile Key

Using the new BPI app:

1. Log in to the BPI app 

2. Go to "More" and select "General Settings" 

3. Under Security, click the toggle button of "Mobile Key"

4. Nominate a 6-digit PIN code.

5. Activate your Mobile Key with an OTP (One-Time-PIN).

6. Enable biometrics to authenticate your transactions via fingerprint or Face ID and you're done!

Using the older BPI Mobile app:

1. Log in to the BPI Mobile App.

2. Select "Mobile Key" from the menu.

3. Tap the toggle button of "Mobile Key".

4. Nominate a 6-digit PIN code.

5. Activate your Mobile Key with an OTP (One-Time-PIN).

6. Enable biometrics to authenticate your transactions via fingerprint or Face ID and you're done!

The Mobile Key on your device will be activated in real-time. 

1. Confirm the details of your transaction.
2. Use your Mobile Key (PIN, fingerprint, or face ID) to approve your transaction.
3. You're done!

1. Confirm the details of your transaction on the browser.
2. Tap the push notification received on your BPI Mobile app.
3. Enter your Mobile Key (PIN, fingerprint, or face ID).
4. Check the transaction details and click on "Approve."
5. Both app and web screens will display that you're done.

*Approval of transactions on the older BPI Online using the new BPI app is not yet available at this time. We recommend doing your transactions on the new BPI app.

After successful device registration on the new BPI app, kindly enable Mobile Key on your new mobile device to nominate this as your primary device.

To enable your Mobile Key:

1. Log in to the new BPI app

2. Go to "More" and select "General Settings"

3. Under Security, tap the toggle button of "Mobile Key"

4. Nominate a 6-digit PIN code.

5. Activate your Mobile Key with an OTP (One-Time-PIN).

6. Enable biometrics to authenticate your transactions via fingerprint or Face ID.

You're done! Once enabled, you’ll be given the option to use your fingerprint or face ID for Mobile Key.

Mobile Key is a more secure and convenient alternative to the One-Time PIN (OTP) to authenticate your online banking transactions. Just key in your PIN, fingerprint, or face ID to approve your transactions.

Mobile Key gives you a faster and safer way to approve transactions. Complete your transaction with just a PIN, fingerprint, or Face ID.

When your Mobile Key is activated, you won't have to wait for a One-Time PIN (OTP) via SMS. The Mobile Key function is useful for clients who dont have telco or SMS access.

Please note that mobile data or a Wi-Fi connection is needed to use the Mobile Key.

For your security, you can only activate your Mobile Key on one device, also referred to as your Primary Device.

When you activate Mobile Key on a new device and nominate it as your primary device, The Mobile Key in your previous device will be automatically deactivated.

To enable your Mobile Key on a new device, follow the steps below:

Using the new BPI app:

3. Tap the toggle button of "Mobile Key".

4. Nominate a 6-digit PIN code.

5. Activate your Mobile Key with an OTP (One-Time-PIN).

6. Enable biometrics to authenticate your transactions via fingerprint or Face ID and you're done!

The Mobile Key on your device will be activated in real-time.

You can activate your Mobile Key using your BPI app and use it to conveniently approve transactions in both BPI app and BPI via web browser.
