Who are eligible for a Cash Advance PIN?

Principal and supplementary Cardholders of the following BPI Credit Cards are eligible for a Cash Advance PIN:

Who are not eligible for a Cash Advance PIN?

Option 1: Principal and supplementary cardholders of the following BPI Credit Cards are not eligible for Cash Advance PIN.

Option 2: No Cash Advance PIN will be issued for the following BPI Credit Card variants.

How can I get my Cash Advance PIN?

You can request by calling our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 (Metro Manila) or domestic toll free 1-800-188-89100 (Available to PLDT subscribers).

How can I change my Cash Advance PIN?

You can go to any BPI ATM and do the following:

a. Choose language
b. Select “Change PIN” from the ATM Menu
c. Enter new four-digit PIN twice
d. Enter pre-assigned PIN found in your PIN Mailer
e. Wait for the confirmation that PIN has been successfully changed 

How soon can I avail of Cash Advance?

The cardholder can immediately avail of Cash Advance after successfully changing your pre-assigned Cash Advance PIN.

I have more than one BPI Credit Card, will I have the same Cash Advance PIN for all my cards?

No. Each BPI Credit Card has a unique pre-assigned Cash Advance PIN.

Do I need to change my pre-assigned Cash Advance PIN?

For security purposes, it is recommended that you change the pre-assigned PIN. To prevent unauthorized use, your PIN must not be divulged to anyone.

I can’t remember my Cash Advance PIN, can I request for new one?

Yes. You may call our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 (Metro Manila) or domestic toll-free 1-800-188-89100 (Available to PLDT subscribers).

Can my Supplementary Cardholders request for a Cash Advance PIN?

Yes, but your supplementary Cardholder can only request for their own Cash Advance PIN. They may call our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 (Metro Manila) or domestic toll-free 1-800-188-89100 (Available to PLDT subscribers).

What does the PIN Mailer contain?

The PIN Mailer contains your pre-assigned Cash Advance PIN for your BPI Credit Card/s.

When will the PIN Mailer be delivered?

The PIN Mailer will be delivered 7-10 calendar days from date of request.

Where will the PIN Mailer be delivered?

The PIN Mailer will be delivered to the Cardholder’s registered billing address.

Can I request to get the Cash Advance PIN via email, text, or phone call?

No, the PIN Mailer containing the Cash Advance PIN will only be sent via direct mail.

What if I got more than 1 PIN Mailer, what do I do?

Each card will have its own Pre-Nominated PIN. Call our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 (Metro Manila) or domestic toll-free 1-800-188-89100 (Available to PLDT subscribers).

How can I avail of Cash Advance?

You can go to any BPI ATM and do the ff:

a. Choose the language.
b. Select “Cash Advance/Withdraw”.
c. Confirm if you want receipt.
d. Enter Cash Advance PIN (CAPIN).
e. Enter amount to be withdrawn.

Which ATMs can the Cardholder use to avail of Cash Advance?

To avail of Cash Advance, you will need to use a BPI Credit Card.

Cash Advance Fee, Limit, and Payment

What is the minimum amount that can be availed?

The minimum amount for Cash Advance transactions is Php 500. 

How much cash can the cardholder withdraw through Cash Advance?

The Cash Advance limit depends on the BPI Credit Card type the Cardholder has

Is there a fee for availing Cash Advance?

Yes. A fee amounting to Php 200 will be charged for every Cash Advance transaction.

Note:
Additional charges may be applied by other banks’ ATM per transaction.

When will the Cash Advance transaction reflect on the Cardholder’s Statement of Account?

Cash Advance transactions will be billed on the next statement date.

How much is the finance charge and interest rate applied in Cash Advance transactions?

Finance charges on Cash Advance transactions and Cash Advance fee will be computed from posting date until payment date.

Effective Interest Rate per month - 2.12%*

*Cash Advance Effective Interest Rate per month = Average Monthly Insterest plus Cash Advance Fee divided by the Avergae Principal Balance. 

What is the difference between Cash Advance and Credit-to-Cash?

Credit-to-Cash is a Special Installment Plan Loan, while Cash Advance is treated as a regular transaction. Please see details below.


How can the Cardholder compute for his Cash Advance interest charges?

The Cash advance Interest Charge are computed as follows.

Total Interest + Cash Advance Fee: Php 4,386.12
Average Outstanding Balance: Php 17,209.00
Finance Charge per month: 2.00%
Effective Interest Rate (per month): 2.12%1




1Cash Advance Effective Interest Rate per month = Average Monthly Interest plus Cash Advance Fee of P200 divided by the Average Principal Balance.
2Cash Advance Fee is P200 per transaction.



How can the Cardholder free up his available Cash Advance Limit?

The available Cash Advance Limit is freed up every after payment subject to the hierarchy of application of payment.

Is my CAPIN the same as my PIN?

No, a CAPIN is used for Cash Advance transactions only

If a POS terminal asks for my PIN, can I use my CAPIN?

No, the CAPIN can only be used at the ATMs for Cash Advance transactions.

Why did my Cash Advance transaction not push through?

You may have exceeded the number of allowable tries. You can reset your PIN by calling our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 (Metro Manila) or domestic toll-free 1-800-188-89100 (Outside Metro Manila), or visit any BPI Branch.
