Enjoy as low as 0% foreign currency conversion fee on your foreign currency purchases when you use your BPI Platinum Rewards Card , through the BPI Platinum Rewards Crossborder Promo (the “Promo”.)

General Policies

1. These Terms and Conditions govern the Promo for all individuals who apply for, and are issued, a qualified BPI Credit Card during the Promo Period, subject to other eligibility requirements prescribed hereunder.
   
2. The Terms and Conditions governing the use of BPI Credit Cards, BPI’s Products, Services, Facilities and Channels, as well as the BPI Data Privacy Statement, are hereby incorporated by reference and shall form an integral part hereof.

Eligibility and Participation

1. The Promo, which shall run from November 19, 2025, to February 19, 2026 (the “Promo Period”), shall be open to all BPI Platinum Rewards Cardholders whose cards are active and in good credit standing at the time of the crediting.
   
2. In good credit standing. "Good credit standing" means accounts that are not delinquent, not under investigation for fraud, not reported lost or stolen, and in compliance with the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions.

Mechanics

1. BPI Platinum Rewards Cardholders can enjoy as low as 0% foreign currency conversion fee during the promo period.

2. In determining the qualification of a transaction to enjoy 0% foreign currency conversion fee, BPI shall be bound by and shall not be responsible for the Merchant Category classification made by the acquiring bank in accordance with the requirements prescribed by Mastercard.

3. In case of any inconsistency between the Merchant Category above and the Merchant Category Code used by the acquiring bank, the latter shall prevail.

4. To enjoy the Promo, Cardholders should use their BPI Platinum Rewards Card for their in-store and/or online foreign currency transactions and choose to have the transactions processed or billed in foreign currency other than Philippine Peso.

5. Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) Transactions or foreign currency transactions processed or billed in Philippine Peso at point of sale, whether executed in the Philippines, overseas, or online, shall not be eligible for the Promo.

6. Cash advance made overseas are not eligible for the Promo

7. Cardholders will receive the discounted foreign currency conversion fee in the form of a cashback at the end of the promo period. 

8. The cashback shall be computed based on the posted peso amount. 

Sample computations:

Scenario 1: Customer met the spend requirement for both 0% and 1.68% foreign currency conversion fee. The earned cashback for the 0% foreign currency conversion fee is within cap.

In Scenario 1, customer enjoyed 0% Forex Fee for his transactions on eligible MCCs 5499 and 4131, and 1.68% on transactions on non-eligible MCCs 5311 and 4511. The total earned cashback is PHP 333.50.

Scenario 2: Customer did not meet the spend requirement for both 0% and 1.68% foreign currency conversion fee.

In Scenario 2, the customer did not meet the PHP 250 spend requirement to enjoy the 0% Foreign Service Fee, nor the PHP 100,000 spend requirement to enjoy the 1.68% Foreign Service Fee. As such, there is no cashback earned for this scenario.

Scenario 3: Customer met the spend requirement for both 0% and 1.68% and achieved the maximum cashback limit of PHP 500 for 0% foreign currency conversion fee.

 In Scenario 3, the customer achieved the maximum PHP 500 cashback for his transaction on Japan Railways Group, which is eligible to the 0% Foreign Service Fee, and earned PHP 175.10 from his other transactions that earned 1.68% Foreign Service Fee. As such, total cashback earned for this scenario is PHP 675.10.  

Scenario 4: Customer met the spend requirement for the 0% foreign currency conversion fee, achieved the maximum cashback limit, but did not meet the spend requirement for the 1.68% foreign currency conversion fee.

In Scenario 4, the customer earned the maximum cashback of PHP 500 for eligible transactions that earned 0% cashback. No cashback was awarded for the other transactions as the customer did not meet the minimum PHP 100,000 spend requirement to enjoy 1.68% Foreign Service Fee. 

9. Valid transactions made by the Eligible Cardholder (who should be the principal cardholder) and his supplementary cardholder(s) during the applicable spend period using their eligible cards will be accumulated and shall be considered as the Eligible Cardholder’s total transactions under this Promo.

10. Cashback will be credited within 45 days from the end of the promo period to the Principal cardholders’ account.

Other Conditions

1. The principal credit card must be active and current at point of awarding.

2. This Promo, unless otherwise provided, will not apply in conjunction with any other existing bank promotion. In case of dispute pertaining to the Promo including, but not limited to, the cardholder’s eligibility, coverage dates, fulfillment, etc., BPI’s decision, with the concurrence of DTI, will prevail. Any and all questions or disputes regarding the cashback received in connection with this Promo must be raised to BPI customer service within thirty (30) days from the date of receipt of the cashback.

3. The terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of BPI Credit Cards, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this Promo. 

4. The Promo shall be subject to periodic review to ensure compliance with BPI’s policies and procedures, as well as with BSP rules and regulations and other applicable laws.

5. To the full extent allowed by applicable laws, all warranties, whether express or implied by law or statute, are excluded herein. BPI does not make any warranty, express or implied, with respect to any of the prizes.
