Supplemental Terms and Conditions for BPI Free+ Card
This Supplemental Terms and Conditions outlines the additional features, benefits, and specific provisions unique to the BPI Free+ Card. These Supplemental Terms and Conditions form an integral part of, and must be read together with, the BPI Credit Card Terms and Conditions, as the same may be amended by BPI from time to time, and which terms and conditions are incorporated here by reference. BPI may, at any time and for whatever reason it may deem proper, amend, revise or modify these Supplemental Terms and Conditions, and any such amendments, revisions, supplements or modifications shall be binding on the Cardholder. The Cardholder shall be notified (through any of the means provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions of any amendments, revisions or modifications to these Supplemental Terms and Conditions at least sixty (60) days prior to the effective date thereof, unless the amendments, revisions or modifications shall take effect as otherwise directed by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas or provided by applicable laws, rules or regulations.
I. Interest Cashback Program
A. Eligibility and Participation
1. Cardholders of BPI Free+ Card whose accounts are active and in good credit standing as determined by BPI in its sole discretion are entitled to earn Interest Cashback.
2. Any transaction made using BPI Free+ Card is not entitled to earn BPI points. BPI reserves the right to suspend or disqualify any Cardholder from further participation in Interest Cashback Program. If in its sole determination, such Cardholder has violated these Supplemental Terms and Conditions or the BPI Credit Card Terms and Conditions, suspension or disqualification may result in the cancellation of the Cardholder's right of participation and/or the forfeiture of all Interest Cashback earned.
B. Accumulation of Interest Cashback
1. Interest Cashback earned by the Principal and/or Supplementary Cardholder will be consolidated into the Principal Cardholder's Interest Cashback pool.
2. The total Interest Cashback earned by the Cardholder that are available for redemption shall be reflected in the Principal Cardholder’s Statement of Account (“SOA”) as “Total Available Interest Cashback”.
3. The Cardholder must notify BPI immediately for any error on the Total Available Interest Cashback as reflected in the monthly SOA. If no error is reported within thirty (30) calendar days from the statement date indicated in the SOA, the SOA shall be considered correct and binding upon the Cardholder and Supplementary.
4. Cardholders of BPI Free+ Card are entitled to earn Interest Cashback, subject to the following conditions:
- Cardholder shall have at least one (1) transaction per month regardless of amount. The transaction shall be made using a qualified BPI Free+ Card or any enrolled token representing the BPI Free+ Card as may be enrolled in merchants or a third-party digital wallet and is posted on the Cardholder’s SOA. The transaction may be completed as local, international, online and/or token transaction. The transaction may be availed as either Retail, Cash Advance, Special Installment Plan (SIP) or SIP Loan. Fees, SIP amortizations, Credit/Debit Adjustments are NOT included as an eligible transaction.
- Cardholder shall pay at least the Minimum Amount Due (“MAD”) on or before the Payment Due Date.
The Interest Cashback shall be computed as 15% of the previous month’s Finance Charge. To illustrate:

- In this example, Cardholder earned Php 6.49 worth of Interest Cashback which is computed as:
- Php 43.25 Finance Charge x 15% cashback = Php 6.49
- The Php 6.49 worth of Interest Cashback shall reflect in the following month’s SOA (March 15 SOA).
- Because there is no purchase posted for the April 16 SOA, the Cardholder is not eligible to earn an interest cashback.
- Interest Cashback earned cannot be transferred to any other person.
- Interest Cashback accumulation will be stopped for blocked accounts due to lost cards from the date of report of loss. Transactions made with the replacement card or by a token representing the card will resume Interest Cashback accumulation.
- Fraudulent earning or redemption of Interest Cashback may result in forfeiture of available Interest Cashback as well as cancellation of the Cardholder's credit card.
- Interest Cashback will accumulate into one Interest Cashback pool and will not be pooled together with other cashbacks earned from other BPI products.
C. Redemption of Interest Cashback
1. Only the Principal Cardholder is eligible to redeem Interest Cashback.
2. Interest Cashback is eligible for redemption only for accounts that are current and in good credit standing, (i.e.card must not be delinquent, suspended, blocked or cancelled) at the time of redemption.
3. A Cardholder with a closed account can redeem available Interest Cashback within 60 days from closure provided that the account was in good credit standing at the time of closure. Unredeemed Interest Cashback will be forfeited after 60 days from date of cancellation.
4. Once a valid redemption request has been made, it cannot be cancelled, revoked or changed.
5. Interest Cashback cannot be exchanged for other items.
6. Interest Cashback earned can be redeemed through any of the following channels
- Any BPI branch
- 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000
7. A Principal Cardholder can redeem his/her earned Interest Cashback without any minimum cashback earned requirement. However, interest cashback available for redemption will be rounded down to the nearest peso. To illustrate:

8. Interest Cashback redeemed will be reflected in the Principal Cardholder’s SOA as cash credit with description “Interest Cashback Redeemed”, within fifteen (15) working days from the date of the redemption request. Cash credit serves as payment and will be deducted from the outstanding balance of the Cardholder’s BPI Free+ Card. BPI may adjust the interest cashback redemption requirements from time to time, subject to prior notice to the customer through official Bank communication channels.
II. Unique Features
A. Credit Limit
The BPI Free+ Card will be assigned its own Credit Limit which is separate from any other BPI Credit Card that the Cardholder may have. The Primary Cardholder and Supplementary Cardholder by default will have a shared Credit Limit. Should there be changes to the Credit Limit of the supplementary card, only the Primary Cardholder can adjust and choose a certain amount of Credit Limit to be assigned to his/her Supplementary. BPI may adjust the Credit Limit based on its credit evaluation and applicable regulations, subject to prior notice to the Cardholder through official Bank communication channels.
B. Statement of Account (“SOA”)
A BPI Free+ Card will be issued separate SOA. The SOA for BPI Free+ Card may have a different Statement Date from the Cardholder’s other BPI Credit Cards.
III. Future Enhancements
The following features and functionalities are not available to the BPI Free+ Card at launch but may be introduced or enabled at a later date.
A. Cash Advance
The Cash Advance over-the-counter facility at BPI branches and via ATM are not yet available for the BPI Free+ Card. Once these services become available, BPI will notify the Cardholder through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and relevant provisions of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions (as well as other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality shall apply.
B. BPI Online Pay Bills
The BPI Free+ Card shall not be available as a source account in BPI Online’s Pay Bills functionality. Should this feature become available for BPI Free+ Card, the Cardholder shall be notified accordingly through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and relevant provisions of the Online Banking Terms and Conditions (as well as other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality shall apply. The Cardholder may use the BPI Free+ Card to pay the merchants directly.
C. BPI Auto Charge
BPI Auto Charge allows Cardholders to enroll automatic payments by charging monthly partner merchants (Meralco, Globe at home and Globe) bills directly to their BPI Credit Card. The BPI Auto Charge functionality shall not be available for the BPI Free+ Card. Should this feature become available for BPI Free+ Card, the Cardholder shall be notified accordingly through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and relevant provisions of the Online Banking Terms and Conditions (as well as other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality shall apply.
D. Visa Account Updater (VAU)
VISA Account Updater (VAU) is a service which aims to avoid transaction declines due to changes in the Cardholder’s Credit Card information arising from card replacement (lost or damaged cards) or renewal (expired cards), by updating his/her enrolled merchants of changes to his/her BPI Credit Card information. Should this feature become available for BPI Free+ Card, the Cardholder shall be notified accordingly through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and relevant provisions of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions (as well as other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality shall apply. The Cardholder authorizes BPI to automatically enroll his/her BPI Free+ Card to VAU service and to share changes to his/her Credit Card information to participating VISA accredited merchants the Cardholder is enrolled to for the card-on-file transactions (recurring payments) once the VAU service becomes available. The Cardholder may opt to unenroll to VAU by visiting any nearby BPI branch or by calling the 24-hour BPI Contact Center (+632) 889-10000.
E. Payment of Outstanding Balance
The BPI Payment of Outstanding Balance functionality through auto debit arrangement online facility (BPI E-ADA) and E-Phone shall not be available for BPI Free+ Card. Should this feature become available for BPI Free+ Card, the Cardholder shall be notified accordingly through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and relevant provisions of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions (as well as other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality shall apply. Payment made to any other BPI Credit Card shall NOT be considered as payment of the BPI Free+ Card. The BPI Free+ Card shall be paid separately, using the card number for the BPI Free+ Card as reference.
F. Installment Services, namely, FlexiPay, FlexipayZero, FlexipayLater and FlexipayLow (formerly, Special Installment Plan, Real 0% SIP, Buy Now, Pay Later and SIP with Add-on, respectively) and S.I.P. Loans
All installment services namely, FlexiPay, FlexipayZero, FlexipayLater and FlexipayLow (formerly, Special Installment Plan, Real 0% SIP, Buy Now, Pay Later and SIP with Add-on, respectively) and S.I.P, Loans, shall not be available for BPI Free+ Card. Once these functionalities become available, BPI will notify the Cardholder through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and relevant provisions of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions (as well as other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality shall apply.
G. Tokenization
The BPI Free+ Card may be enrolled as a token (a) for card-on-file transactions, as executed by the merchant and (b) for third party digital wallets, as enrolled by the Cardholder. For tokens enrolled for use in third party digital wallets, the Cardholder may refer to BPI Issuer Terms and Conditions for Digital Wallets for the governing terms, which is presented to the Cardholder and is agreed upon before token enrollment . Enrollment of the token shall be authenticated through One-Time Password (OTP) biometrics or any other authentication methods prescribed by the merchant or third-party digital wallet, as may be applicable. The Cardholder must ensure that his/her electronic mail address and/or mobile number are updated at all times.
Enrolled tokens, which are bound to the Cardholder's mobile or any token-capable device, can be used for contactless transactions via in-store Point of Sale (POS) terminals. Tokens can also be directly enrolled by the e-commerce or card-on-file merchants upon the Cardholder's enrollment of his/her BPI Free+ card to the platform. Any transactions arising from enrolled BPI Free+ tokens shall be considered authorized by the Cardholder and the Cardholder shall be liable for these transactions.
Should the Cardholder wish to opt out of merchant tokens or card-on-file enrollment , he/she should contact the merchant to remove his/her card details. For third party digital wallet tokens, the Cardholder can, at any point, suspend, resume or delete tokens enrolled for his/her BPI Free+ Card by calling 24-hour BPI Contact Center (02) 889-10000 or requesting such change on the third-party digital wallet. wallet.
Tokenization of credit card shall not be available for BPI Free+ Card upon launch. Once this functionality becomes available, BPI will notify the Cardholder through any of the communication channels provided under Section 22 (Notice & Communication) of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions, and the BPI Issuer Terms and Conditions for Digital Wallets, as well as relevant provisions of the BPI Credit Cards Terms and Conditions (and other applicable terms and conditions) relating to this functionality, shall apply.
This Supplemental Terms and Conditions is effective from March 23, 2026.
