The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has expanded its Partner Store Services across Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), allowing customers to withdraw cash for free using the BPI app in RRHI stores nationwide.

The expansion marks one of the largest off-branch banking rollouts in the country, bringing financial services deeper into high-traffic retail environments.

The core of the partnership between BPI and Robinsons Retail lies in delivering greater convenience to customers. By integrating banking into everyday shopping experiences, the collaboration eliminates the need for an extra trip to the bank or ATM. This rollout significantly widens access points for BPI’s more than six million app users.

“That is what true convenience means—thinking about what our customers need. The added advantage here is simple: they don’t have to make an extra trip just to withdraw cash. They can do it while doing their groceries, or while shopping at the department store. That’s the kind of seamless experience we aim for, and that’s what this partnership between BPI and Robinsons Retail is all about,” said BPI President and CEO TG Limcaoco.

BPI clients can now withdraw cash conveniently and securely even without an ATM card — simply by generating a barcode through the BPI app and presenting it at participating Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI) partner stores.

The service is initially available in over 300 RRHI food category stores, including Robinsons Easymart, Robinsons Supermarket, No Brand, The Marketplace, and Shopwise, Robinsons Department Store and Toys’R’Us, with more locations to be onboarded soon.

 

To generate a withdrawal barcode:

1. Log in to the BPI app.

2. Tap “More” → “Partner store transactions” → “Let’s Start.”

3. Select the BPI account you wish to withdraw from and enter your desired amount.

4. Review the details, agree to the Terms and Conditions, and tap “Confirm.”

5. A barcode will be generated, which you can download or access directly from the BPI app.

 

To complete your transaction:

1. Visit a participating BPI Partner Store.

2. Inform the cashier that you wish to withdraw cash from your BPI account and present the generated barcode.

3. Once processed, you’ll receive your cash and a transaction receipt.

 

Transaction details:

  • Withdrawals can be made without an ATM card.
  • Clients may withdraw up to ₱10,000 per transaction, and up to five times per day. (limit varies per brand)
  • All partner-store transactions are free of charge.

RRHI stores also support BPI savings account opening, product applications and withdrawal transactions, with deposit acceptance set for phased implementation across additional locations. The partnership reflects a shared strategy between BPI and RRHI to embed essential financial services into everyday spaces, extending access beyond traditional branches and ATM networks.

Clients are invited to visit any participating Partner Store and experience the ease of cardless withdrawals. With this feature, BPI continues to make everyday banking more seamless while ensuring the highest standards of safety and security.
