Due to the discontinuance of the BPI eCredit Card, BPI eCredit Cards shall be transitioned to a BPI Omni Card, starting June 2026.
In line with the advisory published last October 29, 2024 on the discontinuance of the BPI eCredit Card, BPI eCredit Cards and supplementary cards shall now be replaced with the new BPI Omni Card. Card delivery of the new BPI Omni Card shall occur between June to July 2026.
Eligible BPI eCredit Cardholders will receive communications confirming their transition to the new BPI Omni Card.
Introducing the new BPI OMNI Card
Enjoy the following benefits with the new BPI Omni Card:
- 🛡️Enjoy safe online transactions with Online Fraud Protect (BPI Personal Cyber Insurance), a specialized insurance policy designed to protect from financial losses caused by cyber fraud, online scams, and unauthorized transactions.
- 🎁 Get x3 BPI Rewards Points for every PHP 50 online spend.
- 📱 Experience the ease of using a virtual credit card accessible anytime, anywhere through the BPI app, and use securely for your online purchases.
What will happen
- A BPI Omni Card will be delivered between June to July 2026 to replace the BPI eCredit Card.
- The new BPI Omni Card should be activated to enable use for transactions:
Text BPIACT[space]Last 10 Digits of the Card to 22565060 using your registered mobile number.
Sample: BPIACT 1234567890 and send to 22565060
- Upon delivery and activation of the new BPI Omni Card, the BPI eCredit Card will be cancelled after 2 banking days to prevent any new transactions from being charged to the old BPI eCredit Card. The blocked card must be properly disposed of by cutting it into several pieces. Ensure that the EMV chip is damaged and properly perforated to prevent any unauthorized use of the card.
- Once the BPI eCredit replacement activities are completed, your BPI eCredit Card will be cancelled even if your BPI Omni Card is not activated. We will send you an advisory with more details before the cancellation. Once cancelled, your eCredit Card can no longer be used for new purchases, and any existing subscription or recurring payments charged to it will also be stopped.
Impact to BPI eCredit Cardholders
As part of the transition from the BPI eCredit Card to the new BPI Omni Card, cardholders can expect several important changes that will impact their account details and how they manage payments.
The new BPI Omni Card will be issued with a new card number, card expiry date, and CVV.
To ensure seamless transactions, update your saved card information across your online merchants and subscription services by replacing your BPI eCredit card information with your BPI Omni card information. These subscriptions will not be automatically updated by the Bank on your behalf.
These services may include online shopping, ride-hailing and delivery services, streaming platforms, utility payments, insurance premiums, gaming and digital platforms, cloud storage and software subscriptions, memberships, and other app-based subscriptions.
It will have a new credit limit.
The credit limit may be equal to or less than your current BPI eCredit Card limit. The credit limit shall be disclosed on the card carrier when you receive your new BPI Omni card.
For most BPI eCredit Cardholders, this limit shall be pre-assigned. For select BPI eCredit Cardholders, you may be asked to apportion a limit for the new BPI Omni Card coming from your existing BPI eCredit card limit. We will send an advisory to these affected BPI eCRedit Cardholders in July prior to this activity.
At this time, requesting for a limit increase on the new BPI Omni Card is not yet available. Further updates shall be provided when this request becomes available.
It will have a new customer number.
This new Customer Number can be used to enroll in BPI online, if you are not yet enrolled. If you are already enrolled in BPI online, no action is required; your new BPI Omni Card will appear in your My Accounts once the card has been issued.
It will have a separate Statement of Account (SOA) and payment due date.
You will receive a SOA for your BPI Omni Card and another SOA for your BPI eCredit Card and other BPI Credit Cards you may own. Any balances and installments on your BPI eCredit card will remain to be billed in the latter statement. Both statements are accessible via BPI online.
These statements may have different Payment Due Dates and must be paid separately.
Payments for the BPI Omni Card should be made using your 16-digit card number shown as masked in the BPI Omni SOA while payments for your BPI eCredit card and other BPI Credit Cards you own can be made using the Customer Number indicated in its SOA.
