The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) was recently conferred the 2023 Balikat ng Bayan “Best Collection Partner” under Universal Bank Category award by the Social Security System (SSS).
The awarding ceremony, which was held at the SSS Main Office in Diliman, Quezon City, honored individuals, employers, and organizations that have significantly contributed to the institution’s pursuit of its mandate.
BPI was recognized for delivering exceptional online banking services through BizLink, the bank’s online banking platform tailored for SMEs and large corporations, and for its compliance with the provisions of the Social Security Law in terms of coverage and giving out benefits, accuracy, timeliness in submitting reports, and participation in SSS programs.
“We are honored for being recognized by the SSS as a reliable partner in delivering service to the Filipino people. It has truly been a great opportunity to serve the provider of social security protection for private sector employees in the Philippines,” said BPI Institutional Banking Head Juan Carlos “John-C” Syquia.
BizLink handles contributions and loan payments from SSS member-employers. With its strong customer base, the platform collected tens of billions of pesos representing premium payments and loan repayments in 2022.
BizLink is highly regarded for the stability and reliability of its system that enables online connectivity with SSS in processing payments, which gives customers close-to-real-time update on the status of their payments, timely remittance of collections and submission of required reports to SSS, and fast resolution of customer concerns by its customer management team.
Syquia added, “We are continuously onboarding new enrollments in BizLink. At BPI, we continue to be guided by our core values in delivering our commitment to better serve the needs of Filipino individuals and businesses. And as we celebrate our 172nd year of banking, we assure our clients that we will continue to be a dependable and innovative bank as we double down on our digitalization efforts doing more in pursuit of our vision to build a better Philippines – one family, one community at a time.”
