BPI Asset Management and Trust Corporation bagged two major awards at the CFA Society Philippines Best Managed Fund Awards 2021. For the 5th consecutive year, BPI Invest Global Equity Fund-of-Funds has been lauded as the Best Managed Fund in the Dollar Equity Category, while Odyssey Philippine Dollar Bond Fund was hailed as the Best Managed Fund in the Long-Term Dollar Bond category in a virtual awarding ceremony held on September 21, 2021.

The search recognizes the outstanding fund management practices of fund houses and institutions that deliver the best returns, and have exemplified the global standards in the finance and investment industry. This year, 71 funds from 14 investment houses and trust institutions went head-to-head, and nine major awards were given, 2 of which were awarded to BPI AMTC.

“The goal of the CFA Institute and the CFA Society of the Philippines in giving the fund of the year awards is to put investors first. We put the investors first by awarding funds that provided the best risk-based returns on a consistent basis over a five (5) year period. This performance and consistency is important for investors who put their hard earned money in the hands of their fund managers for their future.” said Dr. Robert B. Ramos, CFA, CIPM, CAIA, President and Chairman of CFA Society Philippines.

Best suitable for clients with a long-term investment horizon and who are seeking capital appreciation, the award-winning BPI AMTC funds allow investors to tap into opportunities in both local and global markets.

“The global economy is expected to pick up in 2021 at the strongest post-recession pace in almost a century. However, the speed of that recovery remains uneven across different countries, with the developed markets taking the lead due to their easier access to vaccines. This makes a strong case for investors to seriously consider adopting a diversified global portfolio,” says Smith Chua, Chief Investment Officer of BPI AMTC.
