The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is redefining what “banking access” means with the official launch of the campaign “Himala,” which signifies the delivery of the May BPI Dito Partner Store promise, turning everyday neighborhood stores into mini-BPI branch hubs.

Customers can open accounts, apply for BPI products, and perform cash deposit and withdrawal transactions at partner stores nationwide.

Built on the belief that banking should be where people already are, “Himala” captures the familiar moment of surprise and delight Filipinos feel when they realize: “Ngayon, pwedeng magbangko dahil May BPI Dito.”

Starting July 1, 2026, BPI brings account opening, deposits, and withdrawals together under one unified partner store banking proposition, marking an important milestone in expanding financial access beyond traditional branches.

Through its over 7,000-strong retail partner store network nationwide, customers can conveniently open accounts and apply for BPI products in locations they already visit as part of their daily routines such as groceries, pharmacies, gas stations, among others.

At present, 1,369 partner stores offer cash deposit and withdrawal services, bringing essential banking transactions closer to communities nationwide and making banking more accessible, convenient, and inclusive for more Filipinos.

Since the program started, over a million new depositors have onboarded through May BPI Dito partner stores.

TG Limcaoco, President and CEO of BPI, underscored the strategic importance of the ‘Himala’ initiative.

“The real miracle is not technology itself—it is giving more Filipinos the opportunity to participate in the financial system with ease and confidence. Through our growing partner network, we are transforming everyday locations into gateways to banking, helping make financial inclusion a reality for more communities,” Limcaoco said.

Rally Jereza, Head of Agency Banking at BPI, emphasized the executional transformation behind the expansion. “What began in 2023 as product application points has evolved into a fully integrated banking ecosystem. Every phase, from enabling transactions on tablets, to barcode withdrawals, and now barcode deposits, was built to ensure safety, simplicity, and trust. This is not just expansion; it is a redefinition of what a bank can be in the digital age,” Jereza said.

From product access to full banking capability

In 2023, BPI introduced its partner store network, initially focused on enabling customers to apply for BPI financial products closer to their communities. This early phase laid the groundwork for extending banking reach beyond traditional branch infrastructure, allowing underserved Filipinos to own their first deposit account.

As adoption grew, the network evolved in 2024. BPI expanded capabilities to include deposit and withdrawal transactions through tablet-assisted services in strategic partner locations with strong regional presence in Visayas, Mindanao and North and South Luzon.

In September 2025, BPI took another major step forward with the introduction of withdrawal via a BPI app-generated barcode. This innovation connected select Robinsons Retail partner stores more deeply into the bank’s digital ecosystem, allowing customers to access funds securely and conveniently. By April 2026, the ecosystem reached its most complete state with the rollout of deposit via BPI app-generated barcode, enabling customers not only to withdraw but also to deposit cash seamlessly through partner stores.

Bringing banking closer to everyday life

With this launch, BPI strengthens its vision of a more inclusive financial ecosystem, one where geography, infrastructure, or proximity to a branch no longer limits access to essential banking services.

As the partner store network continues to scale, “Himala” signals a shift not just in distribution strategy, but in how Filipinos experience banking itself: closer, simpler, and more present in daily life.
