The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) continues to accelerate the digital transformation of business financing, with transaction values under its Digital Supply Chain Financing (SCF) Program growing by more than threefold in 2025, reflecting rising adoption among corporate clients and suppliers nationwide.
BPI’s Digital Supply Chain Financing Program helps suppliers access working capital faster through a seamless digital platform.
The milestone marks the latest development in BPI's efforts to provide businesses with innovative working capital solutions that strengthen supply chains and support sustainable growth.
Launched in 2024, the Digital SCF Program is a fully digital platform that allows suppliers to receive early payment for approved invoices before their due dates.
Through the platform, BPI’s corporate clients upload approved invoices that are eligible for early payment. Suppliers can then select the invoices they wish to receive funding for, and once approved, the funds are credited to their accounts on the same day.
To date, the program has supported more than 12 corporate clients and over 500 suppliers across various industries, demonstrating its growing impact on the Philippine business ecosystem.
“Strong supply chains are built on strong supplier relationships. Through the Digital SCF Program, we are helping businesses create a more sustainable ecosystem where suppliers—from MSMEs to large enterprises—have access to the financial support they need to grow and thrive,” said Louie Cruz, BPI Institutional Banking Head.
By providing suppliers with faster access to working capital, the Digital SCF Program helps improve cash flows and business continuity, enabling them to meet operational needs and seize growth opportunities. In turn, businesses can strengthen supplier relationships and build more stable, efficient, and resilient supply chains.
As adoption continues to expand, BPI aims to further scale the program and empower more businesses with faster, more accessible financing solutions that drive productivity, growth, and long-term success.
Beyond providing working capital, BPI’s Digital SCF Program reinforces the Bank’s commitment to supporting business growth, sustainability, and financial inclusion.
