The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) continues to advance its commitment to financial inclusion and customer convenience with the launch of Fitmart Tacurong in Sultan Kudarat as its newest “May BPI Dito” Partner Store. The partnership brings essential banking services closer to the Tacurongnon community, making everyday banking more accessible.
BPI can now reach more customers in Tacurong City, through its partnership with Fitmart Tacurong.
Through this collaboration, residents of Tacurong City can now open BPI accounts, apply for BPI products, and conveniently deposit or withdraw cash to and from a BPI account for FREE at Fitmart Tacurong. These services are available during store hours and beyond traditional banking hours, including weekends and holidays, giving customers greater flexibility to manage their financial needs on their own schedule.
“BPI is committed to making banking more accessible, relevant, and convenient for Filipinos wherever they are,” said Rally Jereza, BPI Agency Banking Head. “By partnering with trusted community establishments like Fitmart Tacurong, we are creating a wider channel of choice through alternative banking touchpoints, enabling more people to participate in the formal financial system and access banking services at times that work best for them.”
Fitmart Tacurong is one of the leading retail establishments in Tacurong City, serving as a one-stop destination for shopping and daily essentials. The store services over 15,000 Tacurongnons every month. They offer a wide range of products through its department store and supermarket operations, catering to the needs of families, businesses, and communities across Sultan Kudarat and neighboring provinces.
The partnership responds to the evolving needs of workers, entrepreneurs, students, and families who often find it challenging to visit a bank during regular business hours. By bringing essential banking services closer to where people live, shop, and work, BPI helps customers save time while making financial transactions more accessible and convenient.

“We are proud to partner with BPI and bring these valuable banking services to our customers,” said Maria Virginia Villaruel, President and CEO of Fitmart Tacurong. “Fitmart Tacurong has always been committed to serving the everyday needs of Tacurongnons. Becoming a BPI Partner Store allows us to offer a wider range of in-store services, now including banking services available when our customers need them most.”
BPI continues to expand its network of service channels to meet customers where they are. The addition of Fitmart Tacurong to BPI’s growing roster of partner stores reflects the bank’s ongoing efforts to deliver accessible, customer-centered banking solutions that create meaningful impact and help drive economic participation in local communities.
