The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has long championed nation-building by creating opportunities that empower individual Filipinos, businesses, and strengthen communities. In line with this commitment, the Bank supported the observance of National Disability Rights Week through the Stop & Salute Flag Raising Ceremony, advancing financial inclusion and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs).

In partnership with the National Parks Development Committee (NPDC), PRONOVE TAI, and the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), BPI co-presented the Stop & Salute Flag Raising Ceremony at Rizal Park last July 6. The six-year civic program promotes patriotism while recognizing modern-day Filipinos making a positive impact in their communities. As part of the initiative, BPI conducted a Financial Wellness session for members of the PWD community.
BPI joins the Stop & Salute Flag Raising Ceremony in celebration of National Disability Rights Week, highlighting its commitment to nation-building through financial inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunity.
As part of the Bank's on-going sustainability-led public service efforts, the session covered saving, debt management, and fraud and scam prevention, equipping attendees with practical knowledge to make informed financial decisions and achieve greater financial well-being.
Building financial confidence through inclusive and accessible financial education.
"At BPI, we believe that financial inclusion begins with ensuring that every Filipino has the opportunity to participate meaningfully in the economy. As we celebrate 175 years of serving the nation, we remain committed to breaking barriers, expanding access to financial knowledge and services, and empowering persons with disabilities to achieve greater financial independence—because no one should get left behind. Building a more inclusive Philippines requires collaboration, and we are proud to stand alongside our government and community partners in making that vision a reality," said TG Limcaoco, President and CEO of BPI.

This initiative builds on BPI Foundation's broader financial education efforts, which have reached 5.6 million Filipinos nationwide from January to June 2026 through in-person sessions and the Knowledge Channel’s Estudyantipid series. The Bank also continues to work closely with government partners, including the NCDA and local government units, to expand access to financial literacy for underserved and marginalized sectors, reinforcing its commitment to an inclusive, nation-building agenda.
As BPI celebrates its 175th anniversary, it continues to build on its legacy of supporting Philippine progress by expanding access to financial services, education, and opportunities. Through initiatives like these, the Bank remains committed to helping create a more inclusive future where every Filipino has the opportunity to thrive and no one is left behind.
