Additional provisions have been added to clarify fees and charges, the finality of submitted applications, and the disbursement of proceeds for Balance Transfer transactions.
In compliance with BSP Circular 1160 and the Financial Consumer Protection Framework, please be advised that the bank has updated the Terms and Conditions governing its Special Installment Plan (S.I.P.) Loans and Cash Advance products.
These updates aim to provide greater clarity on product features, fees, and processes, and will take effect on December 9, 2025.

What are the changes made to the Cash Advance Terms and Conditions?
Under Eligibility, it now covers future BPI Credit Card products with Installment Facility-enabled cards.
Under Cash Advance Fee, cardholders are now referred to the published Credit Card Table of Fees for the updated fees and charges.
Added the provision on Finance Charge, and when it’s applied to the Cash Advance Transaction and Cash Advance Fee.
Replaced Amendments with Other Terms and Conditions; Amendments, and added the provision on other relevant supplemental terms and conditions.
What are the changes made to the S.I.P. Loans Terms and Conditions?
Under Eligibility, it now covers future BPI Credit Card products with Installment Facility-enabled cards.
Under Approval, it now clarifies that loan amount is based on Cardholder’s available limit at the time of processing. It also clarifies that applications are deemed final and cannot be reversed, amended or cancelled once received and in the event of duplicate applications, Cardholder shall remain liable for the payment of all approved loan/s.
Under Method of Payment, it now clarifies that billed installments are also subject to Finance Charge if not paid in full on or before the Statement Due Date.
Under Appointment of the Bank as Attorney-in-fact, added the clause “such other rights and remedies… granted under these terms and conditions, by contract or law."
Under Service Fee, clarified that the fee is non-reversable and non-waivable, and refers the Cardholder to the published Credit Card Table of Fees for the updated fees and charges.
Under Manager’s Check, clarified that if Cardholder does not claim the Manager’s Check within the said period it will be construed as Cardholder no longer wanting to proceed with the Loan, and the Transaction will be cancelled as soon as the Manager’s Check is cancelled but the Service Fee charged for processing of their application will be retained.
Under Pretermination of Cardholder, now refers the Cardholder to the published Credit Card Table of Fees for the updated fees and charges.
Replaced Discrepancy with Loan Proceeds and added clauses on the acceptable types of account for the crediting of Loan proceeds.
Replaced Credit Limit with Loan Amount, and added clauses stating that the processing of Loan will be based on Cardholder’s Available Limit at the time of processing, and should Cardholder’s available limit be lower than the Total Loan applied, BPI has the sole discretion to process the application and approve based on the available limit at the time of processing.
Replaced Other terms and conditions with Other terms and conditions; Amendments, and added the provision on other relevant supplemental terms and conditions.
Added a new section, Balance Transfer, covering the responsibility of the cardholder on the continued payment of the minimum amount due of their non-BPI Credit Card, the method of proceeds disbursement through BPI Bills Payment or Bancnet Bills Payment, and disclaimer that Cardholder is responsible in coordinating with the non-BPI Credit Card Issuer in case the Balance Transfer resulted to any double payment or overpayment on their non-BPI Credit Card.
