What is leasing?

A transaction in which an owner of an asset (Lessor) grants the use of the asset to another party (Lessee) for a fee paid over an agreed period of time.

How is a lease different from a loan?

If you opt for a lease, BPI Tokyo Century Rental Corporation (BPITCRC) or the Lessor retains ownership of the asset and only grants the use of the asset to the Lessee. As such, the asset will appear under BPITCRC's name, such as reflected in the LTO OR/CR for vehicles.

On the other hand, a loan is a financing option where the borrower owns the asset, but it is encumbered to the lender. This option also entails chattel mortgage fees.

Do you offer both long term and short-term leases?

Yes, BPI Tokyo Century Rental Corporation offers long-term lease options to corporate clients with a selection to leaser with a driver (through Diamond Group partnership). The partnership includes a self-driven short-term rental. This collaboration allows BPITCRC to cater to a wide range of leasing needs, both for the long term and short term. Rest assured that the leasing solutions are designed to provide convenience and flexibility to enhance your business operations.

What are the payment terms and how are they calculated?

Generally, leases are amortized monthly. Monthly rent is usually equal throughout the term and computed considering your company's risk profile and other management considerations.
