The BPI Subic Regatta 2026 brought the BPI Private Wealth Signature Yacht Race Series Season 3 to a thrilling close, as sailors from across the country converged in Subic for a final test of precision, strategy, and endurance. This year featured 14 participating boats, including the largest IRC fleet in the series to date with nine entries, marking a significant milestone for the circuit’s most competitive racing class. Among the standout moments of the regatta was the participation of the first all-women crew from Team Enterprise, reflecting the growing diversity and inclusivity within the Philippine sailing community.

Serving as the fourth and final leg of the series, the regatta delivered a highly competitive inshore showdown, ultimately determining the season’s overall champions after months of racing across some of the Philippines’ most iconic sailing destinations.
Racing unfolded across multiple inshore courses in Subic Bay, where shifting wind conditions and tight race formats demanded precision sailing and seamless teamwork. Known for its technical nature, the BPI Subic Regatta once again proved to be the ultimate decider, where even the smallest margins shaped the final standings.
The event was conducted under internationally recognized race management standards, with the race committee led by International Race Officer Simon James, and supported by an international jury panel.

This year’s theme, “Do More for the Philippine Seas,” reflects BPI’s broader call to action as it celebrates its 175th anniversary, underscoring a commitment to create meaningful impact beyond expectations.
“Since we launched the series in 2023, yacht racing in the Philippines has evolved into more than just a sport – it has become a platform for advancing marine conservation, promoting sustainable tourism, and fostering a stronger, more connected sailing community,” said Maria Theresa Marcial, President & CEO of BPI Wealth. “‘Do More for the Philippine Seas’ is statement that reflects our belief that the future of the sport is deeply tied to the health of our oceans—and that we all have a role to play in protecting them.”
In line with this commitment, BPI Private Wealth partnered with WWF-Philippines to integrate sustainability and environmental education into the series. Through this collaboration, the event amplified awareness around marine conservation while supporting the M/Y Navorca, WWF-Philippines’ research vessel that plays a vital role in monitoring and protecting critical ecosystems such as the Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park.
The series continues to create meaningful impact across host communities. Each leg drives tourism activity, supports local businesses, and brings together sailors, partners, and spectators in a shared celebration of the sport. Sustainability remains at the forefront. In Subic, activities led by the Subic Sailing Club included environmental talks and a beach cleanup initiative, continuing a tradition of community engagement seen in previous legs of the series.
At the front of the fleet was Raw Honey, who secured both the IRC Class Overall title and the coveted distinction of Overall Winner of the BPI Subic Regatta 2026. Under the helm of James Villareal, the team demonstrated consistent dominance, combining well-judged tactical calls with disciplined execution across multiple race days.
In the Cruising Class, Papaya, skippered by Renie Ticzon, emerged on top, delivering a series of strong finishes to claim top honors in the division.
Meanwhile, in the Ocean Multihull Class, Estelita Del Mar, led by Andy Aguila, clinched the overall win with a composed and steady showing throughout the four-day regatta.
