BPI Wealth, the asset and wealth management arm of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), ushers in the second year of Wealth Wellness Month this October, with an even stronger movement for financial empowerment.

Launched as a nationwide call for Filipinos to rethink and reshape their relationship with money, Wealth Wellness Month has become BPI Wealth’s flagship program to raise awareness and guide Filipinos through every stage of their financial journey. This year, it evolves under the theme ‘Own Your Future,’ a call to action for every Filipino to secure their tomorrow.

“Financial wellness should not be a privilege reserved for a few—it must be accessible, practical, and transformative for all,” said Maria Theresa Marcial, President and CEO of BPI Wealth. “We want to remind Filipinos that they have the power to take charge of their finances through informed, consistent, and confident decisions.”

To bring the theme to life, Wealth Wellness Month 2025 will be anchored on four key events, each designed to influence a distinct audience segment to take charge of their financial journey: graduating students, young professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporations. By tailoring the conversation to the unique needs of these groups, Wealth Wellness Month creates a holistic platform where every Filipino can see themselves reflected in the call to own their futures.

The month opens on October 4 with FinQuest: The Forum, enabling graduating university students to take their first steps toward financial independence. Guided by the call to Own Your Future: Begin Your Financial Journey, it will emphasize the value of money management and the importance of investing early as they prepare for life beyond the classroom.

On October 21, Beyond Wealth brings together entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals to explore succession, wealth transfer, and legacy planning. Under the theme Own Your Future: Building a Legacy that Outlives You, the event challenges participants to think beyond immediate success and consider the enduring influence of their wealth—shaping not just their future, but generations to come.

On October 23, Building Better Futures takes center stage, convening corporations, retirement fund clients, and strategic partners in rethinking the role of the workplace in securing long-term financial well-being.  Anchored in the theme Own Your Future: Champion Your Employees’ Pursuit for Financial Freedom, the event aims to empower organizations to support their employees in retiring with confidence. Financial wellness is no longer just a benefit—it’s a strategic imperative that enhances organizational resilience and fuels sustainable growth.

Finally, the month culminates on October 25 with the Wealth Summit, a dynamic gathering designed for emerging professionals across generations, with a special focus on Gen Z and Millennials. Under the theme Own Your Future: Invest in Yourself, the forum will highlight how consistent wealth-building can be part of a holistic approach to well-being, equipping young professionals with the tools and confidence to navigate their financial paths.

The summit brings together voices who are shaping the future of wellness in the Philippines—Olympian EJ Obiena, Asia’s top pole vaulter and the first Filipino to clear 6 meters, whose journey reflects the power of discipline, resilience, and national pride; and Jo Sebastian, the non-diet dietician known for her fresh approach to food and body image that’s reshaping how young Filipinos think about wellness. Alongside NEXT by BPI Preferred, which champions financial empowerment through personalized guidance, these speakers will bring to life how wellness and wealth go hand in hand—forming a movement that places financial well-being at the core of how Filipinos live, work, and plan for their future.

The second year of Wealth Wellness Month carries added significance as BPI approaches its landmark 175th anniversary in 2026. Under the banner of Do More Philippines, the bank reaffirms its enduring commitment to go beyond banking—creating meaningful, lasting impact in the lives of Filipinos. For BPI Wealth, this means championing financial wellness that is accessible, practical, and empowering, and transforming wealth into a catalyst not only for personal security but also for national progress.

“For nearly 175 years, BPI has stood with generations of Filipinos through change and uncertainty,” said Marcial. “With Wealth Wellness Month 2025, we are elevating the call: Own Your Future.  It’s about equipping Filipinos with the clarity and confidence and clarity to do more with their wealth, their lives, and the legacy they want to leave behind.”
