Mobile Check Deposit on the BPI app provides greater flexibility for BPI clients, making check deposits easier and more accessible especially beyond branch hours. To ensure a smooth experience, clients are encouraged to follow the updated Mobile Check Deposit requirements set by the Philippine Clearing House Corporation (PCHC). 

Starting April 01, 2025, BPI clients will be required to use the updated format when depositing checks through the BPI Mobile Check Deposit facility. Clients are encouraged to begin using the new format, as it is already available and accepted on the BPI app. This includes writing “BPI” / Payee’s BPI Account Number above the Payee Name; while on the back of the check: date of mobile check deposit and Payee’s signature.

Mobile check deposits following the current format will be cleared until March 31, 2025, only and are subject to the PCHC clearing rules similar to checks deposited at the branch. 

Depositing checks on the BPI app remains easy, intuitive, and can be accomplished in as fast as 5 minutes. Eligible clients can simply log in to the BPI app, tap More, then select Check Deposit. After which, they will need to enter the required details and take photos of the check.

Available to BPI Preferred, BPI Gold, and BPI Private Wealth clients, BPI app’s Mobile Check Deposit facility accepts checks below PHP 500,000, whether they are drawn on BPI or any local bank.

Clients can track the status of their check deposits directly through the BPI app, ensuring transparency and real-time updates. Should a check be ‘Rejected’ because of incomplete information, BPI advises clients to simply follow the updated requirements and redeposit checks on the BPI app for a seamless transaction.  

Mobile check deposits will also be processed under the same clearing rules as checks deposited at the bank branch, in accordance with PCHC regulations. Checks deposited after 3:00 PM, on weekends, or on holidays will be processed on the next banking day.

BPI encourages all eligible customers to familiarize themselves with the updated deposit format ahead of the official March 31, 2025, deadline to ensure a smooth transition and continued convenience when using the Mobile Check Deposit service.
