BPI President and CEO TG Limcaoco (center) and new BPI celebrity advocate and popular actor Daniel Padilla usher in a new way of banking for more Filipinos that is more approachable, accessible, and affordable through its PeraWise bundles available in BPI branches and digital platforms, and partner apps. With them are (L-R) BPI Consumer Marketing, Platforms & Virtual Stores Head Mariana Zobel de Ayala, Branch Stores Channel Head Olga Ang, Core Mass Market Segment Head Meigan Soriano, Consumer Banking Head Ginbee Go, Retail Loans Group Head Dennis Fronda and Agency Banking Head Rally Jereza.
The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is going out of its way to reach more Filipinos and make them part of Barangay Mas Magandang Bukas (MMB). It is BPI’s hope to build this new community of Pinoys and help them achieve their life goals sooner, such as growing their savings and having their own cars or homes through new banking products and services that are easy on-the-pocket, easy to understand, and easy to access through BPI branches, digital platforms, and partner apps.
Dubbed as the “Barangay Mas Magandang Bukas,” it aims to strengthen BPI’s strategic thrust towards greater financial inclusion, in support of its mission of building a better Philippines—one family, one community at a time.
“To allow us to better serve the needs of more Filipinos, we need to first understand what they need a bank for. For many, banking equates to saving, and they are intimidated by banks. By becoming a part of BPI’s Barangay MMB, we hope to empower and help Filipinos achieve their life’s greatest aspirations, such as having their own home or car sooner rather than later in life through products and services that are easily accessible, with more affordable monthly payments, and available in more partner outlets such as Ayala Malls, Robinsons retail stores, Generika, Seaoil, Lazada and other favorite online shopping and food apps. Together, we will make every day better,” Maria Cristina “Ginbee” L. Go, BPI Head of Consumer Banking, said.
Popular actor Daniel Padilla joins BPI in its mission and advocacy of financial inclusion. “We’re very happy to welcome Daniel Padilla to the BPI family as an advocate of our trusted solutions. Daniel is an exceptional actor whose talent and charisma continue to shine. We’re excited to have him as our ambassador in helping open new and better opportunities to more people, truly ushering in a “mas magandang bukas para sa lahat,” Go added.
The Bank’s new products and services are part of the BPI PeraWise Bundles which include PeraWise Savings, PeraWise Loans, and PeraWise Digital Banking.
- PeraWise Savings enables clients to quickly and easily open a savings account online. It comes with an affordable insurance that ensures their family’s protection.
- PeraWise Loans offer affordable monthly amortizations and insurance protection through MyBahay and MyKotse Loans.
- PeraWise Digital Banking makes digital banking transactions much easier through BPI App and VYBE, an e-wallet and lifestyle and rewards app. BPI App makes it easier for clients to manage their funds, pay bills and track transactions. VYBE allows clients to enjoy their BPI Rewards points in various partner merchants and soon make QR payments and money transfers.
To make BPI products and services even more easily accessible, clients can “add to cart” in BPI’s flagship store in Lazada, and in other partner apps soon. They can also avail them in BPI “phygital” branches, a combination of BPI branches and digital platforms.
As the oldest bank in the country and in Southeast Asia, BPI continues to transform and innovate as a testament to its commitment to be a strong and reliable partner to Filipinos in every milestone of their financial journey.
