The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has joined forces with AC Health through the Healthway Cancer Care Hospital, the first-ever dedicated cancer care hospital in the Philippines, to enhance the quality of service and care for individuals battling cancer.
“We are honored to partner with AC Health in their commitment to providing exemplary care to cancer patients. Their dedication to championing universal healthcare in the country, through access to quality and affordable medicines, has truly inspired us at BPI,” said TG Limcaoco, BPI President and CEO.
“At BPI, our mission is to be a trusted financial partner, and this partnership perfectly aligns with that commitment. We believe that by forging strong alliances and fostering collaboration, we can contribute to helping build a better Philippines—one family, one community at a time,” Limcaoco added.
Under the partnership, BPI is supporting the hospital with the acquisition of cutting-edge medical technology to enhance patient care, improve diagnostic capabilities, and contribute to the overall advancement of healthcare services.
“The Healthway Cancer Care Hospital aims to revolutionize healthcare accessibility through innovating and working with partners to help drive down costs, prioritizing affordability without compromising quality of care. We recognize the need for financial support from banking partners to lay the foundation for this transformative healthcare endeavour, ensuring its success and sustainability in the absence of immediate patient contributions,” said Healthway Medical Network President and CEO Jimmy Ysmael.
AC Health President and CEO Paolo Borromeo said, “Our partnership with BPI has been instrumental in our journey to establish Healthway Cancer Care Hospital as a beacon of hope and healing of our community. We are immensely grateful to BPI for their support to improving cancer patient care. Together, we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those battling cancer.”
BPI is also enhancing financial transactions through streamlined cash management services, including Payroll, Bills Collection and Bills Pay PH, Check Cutting, ATM, and Cash 360 machine. Moreover, the bank has set up a person-to-merchant (P2M) facility for convenient payments for pharmacy, doctors, and laboratory fees via QR code.
Through its Global Pay initiative, BPI also installed POS Terminals that will enable customers to pay for their medical expenses using credit and debit cards, with the added convenience of a special installment plan.
“By working with Healthway Cancer Care Hospital, we aim to create a hassle-free payment experience for the hospital’s clients,” said John-C Syquia, BPI Institutional Banking Head.
With the partnership, BPI and AC Health hope to create a positive impact on healthcare accessibility, affordability, and efficiency in the country.
