Advisory: BPI Credit Cards Recent Transactions in BPI app and BPI online
Starting November 21, 2025, BPI Credit Cardholders can view the merchant category description and transaction amount of their recent transactions made using their principal and/or supplementary credit cards in real time on both BPI app and BPI online.
Recent transactions refer to transactions that have been authorized, reflected in the system, and deducted from the available credit limit.
To view, BPI Credit Cardholders may visit their Transaction History under the Card Overview page in BPI app and BPI online.
Note: Recent transactions display the Merchant Category Description and Transaction Amount. The actual Merchant Name and other transaction details will be available in future enhancements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are recent transactions?
Recent Transactions refer to transactions that have been authorized, reflected in the BPI Credit Card system, and deducted from the available credit limit.
Once confirmed by the merchant, these transactions will be included in the ‘Outstanding Balance,’ posted in the Transaction History on the BPI app or BPI Online, and reflected in the Statement of Account.
Does this mean I can see my credit card transactions real-time?
Yes. Credit cardholders can view, in real time, the merchant category description and transaction amount of their recently approved transactions.
On the BPI app: Recent transactions appear under the “Recent Transactions” label in your card’s Transaction History within the Card Overview screen.
On BPI online: Recent transactions are displayed without a transaction date until they are posted.
What is a Merchant Category Description?
Merchant Category Description refers to the primary industry type under which the merchant is included. Examples include Amusement/Entertainment, Airlines, Hotels, etc.

Where can I view my recent transactions?
Recently approved transactions are displayed in real-time on both the BPI app and BPI online.
BPI app
To view Recent Transactions:
1. Go to My Accounts and select the desired BPI Credit Card
2. Scroll down the page and select Card Overview
3. Recent transactions are displayed in the "Transactions after latest statement" section, under the ‘Recent Transactions’ divider label.
BPI online
To view Recent Transactions:
1. Go to My Accounts and select the desired BPI Credit Card
2. Scroll down the page and select Card Overview
3. Recent transactions are displayed in the "Transactions after latest statement" section where the transaction date is not yet available.
I made a transaction with a foreign merchant. How will this appear in my Transaction History?
Foreign transactions shall be displayed in Philippine Peso, using an initial foreign exchange rate based on the transaction date. Please note that once the transaction has been confirmed by the merchant and posted, the peso conversion shall be finalized. The final amount will reflect the foreign exchange rate at the time of posting, plus any applicable foreign currency service fees.
