Credit Cards frequently asked questions

Following the merger of BPI and Robinsons Bank, all Robinsons Bank credit cards will be discontinued effective July 2026 and will be migrated to BPI.

A. Pru Life UK (PLUK), UNO, and DOS

a. WITHOUT an existing BPI Credit Card or has a Petron BPI, BPI Amore Cashback, and/or BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card:

You will be issued a BPI Rewards Card. The card variant will depend on the credit limit of your existing PLUK, UNO, or DOS credit card. Any remaining balances and rewards points will be transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card.

b. WITH an existing BPI Edge, BPI Rewards, BPI Gold Rewards, BPI Platinum Rewards, and/or BPI Signature Card:

Your PLUK, UNO, or DOS remaining balances and rewards points will be transferred to your existing BPI Credit Card.

B. Robinsons Cashback

a. WITHOUT an existing BPI Credit Card or has a Petron BPI, BPI Amore Cashback, BPI Edge, BPI Rewards, BPI Gold Rewards, BPI Platinum Rewards, and/or BPI Signature Card:

You will be issued a new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa. Any remaining balances will be transferred to your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa.

b. WITH an existing BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card:

Your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard remaining balances will be transferred to your existing BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card. You may continue using your existing BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Credit Card until we have issued you a new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa.

Starting April 2026, the migration process of your PLUK, UNO, DOS, and Robinsons Cashback credit cards will begin. You will receive an email advisory regarding the complete timelines of the migration process.

You may call the BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 to update your registered email address, mobile number or billing address. Once connected, press 2 for Credit Cards, then select 4.

Note: If you have been issued with a new BPI Credit Card, you may update your contact information by visiting the branch.

You may request a supplementary card by calling the BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 or by visiting any BPI branch.

• If your supplementary cardholder does not have an existing BPI supplementary card, BPI will automatically create and deliver a new BPI supplementary card.
• If your supplementary cardholder already has a BPI supplementary card, BPI will no longer provide another one.

You may pay through the following payment channels:

*Payment via BPI online app and VYBE is only applicable to BPI depositors.

Starting July 1 onwards, the RBank Digital App will no longer be available for viewing your credit card transactions and balances. Don't worry, you can still access this information through your electronic Statement of Account (eSOA), which will be sent to your registered email address.

Your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card including your supplementary card(s), (if any) will be converted to a BPI Rewards Card, depending on your credit limit. With the conversion, the following changes will be applied:

a. New customer number and card number

1. You will be issued a new BPI Rewards Card with a new customer number, card number, card expiry, and CVV.

2. Starting July 1 onwards, your PLUK/UNO/DOS credit cards have been deactivated to prevent any new transactions from being charged to your old account. The blocked card must be properly disposed of by cutting it into several pieces. Ensure that the EMV chip is damaged and properly perforated to prevent any unauthorized use of the card. Don’t worry, this is part of the transition process. You may start using your new BPI Rewards Card for all your transactions. 

All your rewards points and balances will be transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card and is expected to be completed by July 30, 2026. Once the points and balances have been transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card, your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card, including your supplementary card(s) (if any) will be permanently cancelled. You will receive an advisory confirming the completion of the transition.

b. BPI Credit Card Variant

To know which BPI Rewards Card variant you qualify for, you may refer to the email advisory sent to you which indicates the credit card variant offered.

c. Credit Limit

Your new BPI Rewards Card will have the same credit limit as your current PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card.

d. Monthly Due Date / Monthly Cut-Off or Statement Date

Your new BPI Rewards Card will be assigned with a new monthly cut-off or statement date and payment due date. 

e. Supplementary Cards

If applicable, we will issue and deliver the same BPI Rewards Card variant for your supplementary.

f. Rewards Points

• For BPI Rewards Card & BPI Gold Rewards Card: Earn 1 point for every ₱35 spent.
• For BPI Platinum Rewards Card: Earn 2 points for every ₱30 local spend or every ₱20 foreign currency spend at merchants outside the Philippines for both in-store or online purchases.

Enjoy a waived annual fee for your first year with BPI. Moving forward, your account will follow the standard BPI fee structure instead of the PLUK/UNO/DOS Annual Fee waiver policy.

h. Auto-Charge Payments

To ensure uninterrupted services during the transition, please update your payment details using your new BPI Rewards Card for recurring charges such as online shopping, ride-hailing and delivery services, streaming services, utility bills, insurance premiums, gaming and digital platforms, cloud storage and software services, memberships and other app subscriptions.

No. Your outstanding balance and any remaining unbilled installments will be automatically transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card and will appear in your August 2026 BPI Statement of Account (SOA).

Although your July 2026 PLUK/UNO/DOS SOA may still show these balances, no payment is required for that statement. Instead, simply pay the amount reflected in your August 2026 BPI SOA on or before its due date.

When transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card, you can continue to pay over the remaining term of your installment. You will still have the option to pay the minimum amount as well.

a. Activate your new BPI Rewards Card

Upon receipt of your new BPI Rewards Card, activate it immediately to start enjoying all your card’s perks and benefits. For activation instructions, please refer to the card activation sticker found on your card.

b. Auto-Charge Payments

To ensure uninterrupted services during the transition, please update your payment details using your new BPI Rewards Card for recurring charges such as online shopping, ride-hailing and delivery services, streaming services, utility bills, insurance premiums, gaming and digital platforms, cloud storage and software services, memberships and other app subscriptions.

No. Your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card will not be renewed but will be replaced by a new BPI Rewards Card. If you have not yet activated your new BPI Rewards Card, kindly activate it immediately to start enjoying the features of your BPI Credit Card and keep your banking experience uninterrupted.

If your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card is enrolled in Auto Debit Arrangement (ADA) using a Robinsons Bank or BPI deposit account, you will need to coordinate with your branch of account to transfer your enrollment to your newly issued BPI Credit Card.

a. Credit Limit

The credit limit of your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card will be added to your existing BPI Credit Card.

b. Supplementary Card

If your PLUK/UNO/DOS supplementary (if any) does not have a supplementary card with BPI, we will issue and deliver a BPI card for him/her, free of charge. If you do not want to extend a BPI Supplementary Credit Card to your PLUK/UNO/DOS supplementary cardholder, please call our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at ‎(+632) 889-10000.

c. Cancellation of PLUK and UNO card 

Starting July 1, you may no longer use your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card. However, permanent cancellation of your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card will take effect only after all your points and balances have been transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card by the end of July 2026. 

No. Your outstanding balance and any remaining unbilled installments will be automatically transferred to your new BPI Rewards Card and will appear in your August 2026 BPI Statement of Account (SOA).

b. Auto Debit Arrangement

If your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card is enrolled in Auto Debit Arrangement (ADA) using a Robinsons Bank or BPI deposit account, you will need to coordinate with your branch of account to transfer your enrollment to your existing BPI Credit Card. 

No. Your PLUK/UNO/DOS Credit Card will not be renewed. However, you may continue using your existing BPI Credit Card for all your transactions.

Depending on the BPI Credit Cards that you own, your outstanding retail and/or installment balances will be transferred to one card following the hierarchy below: 

1. BPI Edge Card
2. BPI Rewards Card
3. BPI Gold Rewards Card
4. BPI Platinum Rewards Card
5. BPI Signature Card

Your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard including your supplementary card(s), (if any) will be rebranded to the new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa. With the rebranding, the following changes will be applied:

a. New customer number and card number

1. You will be issued a new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa with a new customer number, card number, card expiry, and CVV.

2. Upon delivery and activation of your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard will be deactivated within 2 banking days. If your new card has not been activated, your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard will automatically be deactivated on the date communicated to you via email advisory which may be by July 30, 2026 or August 17, 2026. The blocked card must be properly disposed of by cutting it into several pieces. Ensure that the EMV chip is damaged and properly perforated to prevent any unauthorized use of the card. Don’t worry, this is part of the rebranding process. You may start using your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa for all your transactions.

All your balances from your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard will be transferred to your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa. For cards deactivated on July 30, 2026, the transfer is expected to be completed by July 31, 2026. Meanwhile, for cards deactivated on August 17, 2026, the transfer is expected to be completed by August 31, 2026. Once the balances have been transferred to your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard, including your supplementary card(s) (if any) will be permanently cancelled. You will receive an advisory confirming the completion of the transition.

b. Credit limit

Your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa will have the same credit limit as your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard.

c. Monthly Due Date / Monthly Cut-Off or Statement Date

Your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa will be assigned with a new monthly cut-off or statement date and payment due date. 

d. Supplementary Cards

If applicable, we will issue and deliver the same Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa for your supplementary.

e. Cashback Features

With the new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, you can enjoy enhanced cashback features and benefits designed to reward your everyday spending:

• Robinsons Brands and Affiliate Stores: 
  • 3% cashback on a minimum spend of Php 3,500 
  • 1% cashback on a minimum spend of Php 1,000 
• Plus, additional cashback opportunities for your everyday spend: 
  • Shopping, Department Stores, and Grocery Merchants 
    • 1% cashback on a minimum spend of Php 1,000 
  • Dining, Restaurants, and Online Food Delivery 
    • 4% cashback on a minimum spend of Php 1,000 
• Other Merchant Categories 
  • 0.3% cashback on a minimum spend of Php 1,000 

f. Annual Fees

• Principal Cardholders:
  • First year: Annual fee waived
  • Succeeding years: Php 2,500 
• Supplementary Cardholders:
  • First supplementary card: Annual fee waived for life
  • 2nd to 6th supplementary cards: Php 1,250

g. Auto-Charge Payments

To ensure uninterrupted services during the rebranding, please update your payment details using your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa for recurring charges such as online shopping, ride-hailing and delivery services, streaming services, utility bills, insurance premiums, gaming and digital platforms, cloud storage and software services, memberships and other app subscriptions.

Your maximum cashback remains the same at Php 20,000 per year, just like with your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard.

What’s changing is how your cashback is computed and awarded. Previously, cashback was credited monthly. With the new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, your cashback will now accumulate annually, and you may redeem it anytime through BPI Help & Support or by calling our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at ‎(+632) 889-10000.

This means you get the same maximum earning potential, but with more flexibility because you can redeem whenever you choose.

Once you receive your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa your cashback will transition from monthly crediting to a more flexible annual accumulation. 

With your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, your cashback will now accumulate on an annual basis, and you may redeem it anytime through BPI Help & Support or by calling our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at ‎(+632) 889-10000.

You can view your available Robinsons Cashback in your Statement of Account (SOA) under “Cashback Available".

No. Your outstanding balance and any remaining unbilled installments will be automatically transferred to your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa.

If your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard is deactivated on July 30, 2026, your transferred balances are expected to appear in your August 2026 BPI Statement of Account (SOA). If your card is deactivated on August 17, 2026, your transferred balances are expected to appear in your September 2026 BPI SOA.

If your card was deactivated on July 30, 2026, your July 2026 Robinsons Cashback Mastercard eSOA may still show these balances, no payment is required for that statement. Instead, simply pay the amount reflected in your August 2026 BPI SOA on or before its due date.

If your card was deactivated on August 17, 2026, your August 2026 Robinsons Cashback Mastercard eSOA may still show these balances simply pay the amount reflected in your September 2026 BPI SOA on or before its due date.

When transferred to your new Robinsons Cashback, powered by Visa, you can continue to pay over the remaining term of your installment. You will still have the option to pay the minimum amount as well. 

a. Enhancement

Your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard will be discontinued, and your existing BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card will now be rebranded to the new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa effective upon receipt of your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa.  

This enhanced card gives you access to improved cashback benefits, allowing you to earn more rewards across a broader range of everyday purchases, both within Robinsons Brands and Affiliate Stores and beyond.

You may expect to receive your new card plastic design of the Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa starting August 16, 2026 onwards. Please activate it immediately.

b. Credit Limit

Your credit limit will be the sum of your old Robinsons Cashback Mastercard and your BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card.

c. Supplementary Card 

If your supplementary (if any) does not have a supplementary card with BPI, we will create and deliver a new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa for him/her, free of charge. 

d. Cancellation of your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard

Your Robinsons Cashback Mastercard will automatically be deactivated on the date communicated to you via email advisory which may be by July 30, 2026 or August 17, 2026 to prevent any new transactions from being charged to your old account. You may continue using your existing BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card which will already carry the enhanced cashback features until you receive your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa.

e. Ayala Malls perks and privileges

You will continue to enjoy the Ayala Malls benefits until you have received and activated your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa.

f. Annual Membership Fee

Upon receipt of your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, your annual membership fee will follow the Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, rate of Php 2,500. This is savings for you – previously, the annual fee for your BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card was Php 5,000. With this update, you will now pay only P2,500, cutting your annual fee by half.

g. Cashback Annual Cap

Your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, will allow you to earn up to Php 20,000 in cashback annually, an increase from the previous Php 15,000 annual cap of your existing BPI Amore Platinum Cashback Card. This lets you earn more cashback on your everyday purchases throughout the year.

Once you receive your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa your cashback will transition from monthly crediting to a more flexible annual accumulation.

With your new Robinsons Cashback Card, powered by Visa, your cashback will now accumulate on an annual basis, and you may redeem it anytime through BPI Help & Support or by calling our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000.

When transferred to your new Robinsons Cashback, powered by Visa, you can continue to pay over the remaining term of your installment. You will still have the option to pay the minimum amount as well.
