Promotion mechanics

These Terms and Conditions (“Promo Terms and Conditions”) govern the BPI GOLD & BPI PREFERRED REWARDS PROMOTION

The Terms and Conditions governing BPI’s Products, Services, Facilities and Channels, the Banking Terms and Conditions, BPI Online Banking Terms and Conditions governing the use of BPI Online and the BPI Mobile App, and the BPI Data Privacy Statement are hereby incorporated by reference and shall form an integral part hereof (“BPI Terms and Conditions”).


The BPI Gold & Preferred Rewards Promotion ("Promo")

The BPI Gold & Preferred Rewards Promo (“Promo”) is a promotion where New-to-Bank BPI Clients (“NTB Client/s”) will be given rewards for starting a BPI Gold relationship and maintaining a minimum total relationship balance of at least Five Million Pesos (Php 5Mn) or BPI Preferred relationship and maintaining a minimum total relationship balance of at least One Million Pesos (Php 1Mn) for a period at least one (1) year.



Eligibility and participation

1. To be eligible for the Promo, an NTB Client must open a BPI Gold relationship with a minimum TRB of Php 5Mn or a BPI Preferred relationship with a minimum TRB of Php 1Mn and perform all the following: 

  • Open an investment account of their choice;
  • Apply for a primary and supplementary BPI Signature Card and;
  • Download the BPI app and enroll in online banking


2. To participate in the Promo, NTB Client must fill out and sign the “BPI Gold and Preferred Rewards Promo Form” through their Relationship Manager (RM) and commit to the desired TRB on the tiered Rewards table below.


3. Eligible NTB Clients will be given a corresponding reward.


4. BPI reserves the right to suspend or disqualify any person from further participation in the Promo, if in its judgement, that person has violated the terms and conditions herein. Suspension or disqualification may result in the cancellation of the individual’s right of participation and/or the economic equivalent of all rewards enjoyed.




1. The client shall select from the TRB Tiers below and will be rewarded in accordance with the Tracking Period/s as follows:

Tracking Periods:

a.  Tranche 1 – 1st to 3rd calendar month from account opening 

b.  Tranche 2 – 1st to 12th calendar month from account opening

2. Awarding of the reward from the corresponding tier shall be forfeited immediately due to the following conditions:

a. If the TRB falls below the minimum committed tier within the first (1st) to third (3rd) month tracking period, Client will not qualify for any reward (both Tranche 1 and 2) and shall completely be ineligible for the promo.

b. If the TRB falls below committed tier within the first (4th) to twelfth (12th) month tracking period, Client will not qualify for the 2nd tranche reward.


3. The reward in the form of cash will be credited to the NTB Client’s own BPI primary deposit account of choice.


4. The rewards shall be subject to the general terms & conditions of the partner merchants.



Dispute resolution


1. In case of any dispute or issue between BPI and the referrer/referral in connection with terms and conditions of the Program, the decision of BPI with the concurrence of DTI on the dispute or issue shall be considered final.


2. In case the dispute or issue is in connection with the participating merchants or service providers and the latter's performance and/or delivery of services under this program, subject to the terms and conditions set out above, the resolution of BPI with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final.





1. All new account openings are subject to existing policies and procedures of BPI.  


2. Promo participation and availment shall be coursed through the RM or Business Managers. 


3. All offers under the Promo shall not be convertible to cash. The offers are non-transferable and may only be availed of by the NTB Client. 


4. The Promo offered under this Promo Terms and Conditions may not be availed of in conjunction with any other on-going promotions or discounts. 


5. The Promo shall be subject to periodic review to ensure compliance with the BPI’s policies and procedures, as well as with BSP rules and regulations, and applicable laws.   


6. To the full extent allowed by applicable laws, all warranties, whether express or implied by law or statute, are excluded herein. BPI does not make any warranty, express or implied, with respect to any of the rewards items. 



Definition of terms 

1. Promo Period - from May 1, 2024 to August 31, 2024


2. Tracking Period – shall mean at least three (3) months to twelve (12) months commencing from the month the client starts a relationship with any of the BPI Group of Companies within the Promo Period. 


3. BPI Preferred – a client with a total relationship balance of a minimum of One Million Pesos (Php 1Mn) to below Five Million Pesos (Php 5Mn) 


4. BPI Gold – a client with a total relationship balance of minimum Five Million Pesos (Php 5Mn) to below Fifty Million Pesos (Php 50Mn)


5. Average Daily Balance (ADB) - the sum of the daily end-of-day balances in the account for a month divided by the number of days in that month. The formula for computing ADB is as follows: (Day 1 ending balance + Day 2 ending balance + Day 30/31 ending balance)/Number of days in the month (i.e. 30/31 days); 


6. Total Relationship Balance (TRB) – total relationship balance based on the overall volume in deposits and/or investments with BPI;


7. BPI Group of Companies – Bank of the Philippine Islands, BPI Direct BanKo, Inc., BPI Investment Management Inc., BPI Capital Corporation, BPI Securities Corporation, and BPI Asset Management and Trust Corporation doing business under the trade name and style of BPI Wealth – A Trust Corporation (BPI Wealth);


8. New-to-Bank (NTB) BPI Clients - NTB Clients, who, for purposes of this Promo, are those clients with no existing active primary deposit or investment account/s from any of the BPI Group of Companies within the last twelve (12) months.
