Terms and Conditions effective May 06, 2025
1. These Terms and Conditions shall apply to clients of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) who meet the Bank’s set parameters and/or eligibility requirements, as the same may be updated from time to time, and are enrolled by the Bank into the NEXT by BPI Preferred Program (the “BPI Next Program”).
2. To enjoy the rewards, privileges, and benefits of the NEXT by BPI Preferred Program, a BPI client must meet and maintain the following eligibility criteria (“BPI Next Program Eligibility Requirements”):
a. Shall not exceed the age of 45;
b. In good standing with all products and services availed of by the BPI client; and
c. Meets the minimum of at least One Hundred Thousand Pesos (PHP 100,000) or its foreign currency equivalent in Total Relationship Balance (TRB). TRB includes the client’s total funds in Deposits (Current and Savings accounts monthly average daily balance, and Time Deposits value) and Investments held in BPI (hereinafter “Financial Eligibility”);
A BPI client who does not meet the Financial Eligibility may still be eligible to qualify for the BPI Next Program in a limited capacity, subject to BPI client’s submission of acceptable proof of affiliation with BPI’s identified partner communities or institutions, as may be updated by BPI from time to time. These may include, but are not limited to: (i) active or long-term membership with partner fitness or lifestyle organizations; (ii) recognized tier or status in partner travel or loyalty programs; (iii) active enrollment or completion of programs in partner academic institutions; (iv) verified professional affiliation, membership, or accreditation with recognized organizations, companies, or industry bodies; or (v) other affiliations as may be determined by the Bank (“Affiliation Eligibility”). The list of eligible partners and affiliations for Affiliation Eligibility, as well as acceptable proof of affiliation shall be maintained and updated on the official NEXT by BPI Preferred website. Approval of eligibility under the Affiliation Eligibility shall remain subject to the Bank’s validation and sole discretion.
3. A BPI client who meets all the BPI Next Program Eligibility Requirements through the Financial Eligibility shall enjoy all the rewards, privileges, and benefits of the BPI Next Program. A BPI client who qualifies in the BPI Next Program through the Affiliation Eligibility shall enjoy only the rewards, benefits, and privileges as awarded to its affiliation.
4. All BPI clients who qualify in the BPI Next Program shall be issued a Privilege Card, which can be accessed via the BPI Mobile App.
5. BPI reserves the right to review from time to time, and without need of notice, the client’s account/s and total relationship with the Bank to determine compliance with the Program eligibility criteria and its requirements. Notwithstanding fulfillment of the BPI Next Program Eligibility Requirements, the Bank has sole discretion to determine the client’s continued eligibility and participation in the BPI Next Program and Privilege Card.
6. BPI reserves the right to: (i) discontinue the client’s membership to the BPI Next Program; (ii) cancel, change, or substitute any service, privilege, or benefit extended to the BPI Next Program and Privilege Card; (iii) amend, modify, or supplement these Terms and Conditions; or (iv) suspend or terminate the BPI Next Program. Except for eligibility-related discontinuations as provided in Clause 7, or where immediate action is required for the protection of the Bank’s or client’s interests, such changes will be communicated via official channels prior to implementation.
7. BPI shall inform clients should they fail to meet and maintain at least one of the BPI Next Program Eligibility Requirements. The client will be given at least a month from notification to comply before any discontinuation of membership takes effect.
8. BPI shall not be responsible or liable in any manner whatsoever for any costs, losses, damages, expenses, or other consequences caused by the Bank’s exercise of the foregoing rights, to the extent permitted by the Financial Consumer Protection Act and other applicable laws. Neither will the Bank be liable for any special, consequential, exemplary, or indirect damages for any loss of value, opportunities, or benefits that may arise as a result of any of the foregoing or changes made to the BPI Next Program, to the extent permitted by the Financial Consumer Protection Act and other applicable laws.
9. BPI may amend from time to time any or all of the BPI Next Program Eligibility Requirements. Any amendments to the BPI Next Program Eligibility Requirements shall be published on the website or in any other manner deemed appropriate by BPI.
10. The rewards, privileges, and benefits from the BPI Next Program partners are dependent on BPI partner’s continued participation in the BPI Next Program and Privilege Card.
11. Redemption and/or availment of the BPI Next Program’s and Privilege Card’s rewards/ privileges/benefits shall be subject to the individual merchant’s and/or the BPI Next Program’s and Privilege Card’s participating companies’ terms and conditions.
12. BPI is not liable for any special, consequential, exemplary, indirect damages, or for any loss of value, opportunities or benefits that may arise as a result of any of the following:
a. Changes to the BPI Next Program, the Privilege Card, or rewards, privileges, and benefits;
b. Non-compliance by the participating merchant’s or organizations with its agreement/undertaking with the holder; or
c. Any defect in the service or product delivered by the participating 3rd party merchant or organization.
The BPI General Terms and Conditions, Terms and Conditions governing BPI’s Products, Services, Facilities, and Channels, BPI Online Banking and Mobile App Terms and Conditions, and Data Privacy Policy, as may be amended from time to time, shall supplement these BPI Next Program Terms and Conditions shall supplement and made an integral part of these Terms and Conditions, and are viewable on the BPI website.
