Switch to Score Promo

These Terms and Conditions govern the NEXT by BPI Preferred “Switch to Score” Promo (the “Promo”), which is open to new-to-bank (NTB) clients of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (“BPI” or the “Bank”) who meet the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed herein (the “Qualified Clients”).

General Policies

1. The Terms and Conditions governing BPI’s Products, Services, Facilities, and Channels, the BPI Online Banking Terms and Conditions, and the BPI Data Privacy Policy, as may be updated from time to time, are hereby incorporated by reference and form an integral part hereof (the “BPI Terms and Conditions”).

2. Employees of the BPI Group of Companies, and merchants and advertising and creative agencies who have partnered with any member of the BPI Group of Companies in relation to this Promo, including their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity and affinity, are disqualified from participating in the Promo.

Promo Period

The Promo shall run from August 4 to October 6, 2025 (“Promo Period”).

Promo Eligibility and Participation

The Promo shall be open to New-to-Bank (NTB) individual clients who perform all of the following activities during the Promo Period:

1. Successfully open a BPI savings account other than a #MySaveUp account as a primary account holder within the Promo Period;

2. Maintain the required funding (fresh fund) milestone of One Hundred Thousand Pesos (₱100,000.00) or its foreign currency equivalent, within the first month of account opening; and

3. To qualify for additional eGCs, fulfill the additional fresh fund deposit and balance conditions within the maintaining periods, as defined in the Mechanics and Rewards section.

Note:  A client is “New-to-Bank” or “NTB” if he/she has no existing active primary deposit, investment account/s, or product availment from any of the relevant members of the BPI Group of Companies within the last twelve (12) months reckoned from the date of opening of account/s.

4. The Bank reserves the right to suspend or disqualify any person from further participation in the Promo, if in its judgment, that person has violated the terms and conditions herein, including the BPI Terms and Conditions. Suspension or disqualification may result in the cancellation of the individual’s right of participation and/or the economic equivalent of all rewards enjoyed.

Mechanics and Reward

Qualified Clients may earn milestone-based e-Gift Certificates (eGCs) through the following:

Reward Fulfillment

• Qualified Clients will receive their eGCs via Giftaway website    within sixty (60) Banking days after the applicable evaluation period (i.e., after Month 6 and Month 8 from account opening). Banking days shall mean days, other than a Saturday or a Sunday, on which the principal office of BPI in Makati City are not required or authorized by law, national or local, to close for business.
• To redeem the eGCs, Qualified Clients will receive via SMS through their registered number and email through their registered email address, a code/s for the eGC/s and a link to the Giftaway website where they can redeem their reward.
• Only Qualified Clients who maintain their qualified ADB TRB during the required months will receive the corresponding rewards.

Promo Conditions

1. eGCs are non-transferable and non-convertible to cash, deposit interest  , or other BPI products. Qualified Client understands that eGCs received are subject to a validity period. Any eGC that remains unclaimed or unused within its validity period shall not be subject to any substitute rewards.   

2. Only one (1) savings account per client will be considered for eligibility and evaluation for this Promo.

3. This Promo may not be availed in conjunction with other BPI savings account opening promos during the same period.

4. BPI is authorized to give the necessary information to its third-party contractor or agent to complete the processing of the rewards of Qualified Clients. 

Disqualification and Forfeiture

BPI reserves the right to disqualify any Qualified Client who is found to have violated the Promo Terms and Conditions, BPI Terms and Conditions, or any of BPI’s policies. In case of disqualification, the Qualified Client will not be eligible to receive any corresponding rewards. 

Miscellanous

1. All new product applications are subject to existing policies and procedures of BPI.

2. Promo participation and product availment shall be coursed through any BPI branch and via online channels, if available.

3. All rewards under the Promo may be subject to applicable taxes, if any.

4. The promotions offered under the Promo may not be availed of in conjunction with any other ongoing promotions or discounts of the Bank.

5. BPI, in concurrence with DTI, reserves the right to terminate, discontinue, or cancel the Promo at any time.

6. All disputes related to this Promo will only be entertained if submitted within sixty (60) business days after the end of the Promo Period. In case of dispute in respect of BPI only and the client's availment of the offers under the Promo, the decision of BPI with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final. However, if the dispute involves the partner merchant of the eGC and its performance of the services and/or delivery of products to the Client, the decision of BPI and the partner merchant with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final.    

7. BPI and its subsidiaries are not liable for any loss, damage, or personal injury whatsoever (including but not limited to direct, indirect, and consequential loss) suffered or sustained in connection with the availment of and/or participation in the Promo.

8. The Promo shall be subject to periodic review to ensure compliance with the

Bank’s policies and procedures, as well as with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (“BSP”) rules and regulations and applicable laws.

9. To the full extent allowed by applicable laws, all warranties, whether express or implied by law or statute, are excluded herein. BPI does not make any warranty, express or implied, with respect to any of the rewards items.
