Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (“Promo Terms and Conditions”) shall form part and govern THE PREFERRED EXPERIENCE PROMO (“Promo”), which is open to new to bank BPI Preferred clients who meet the minimum eligibility requirements prescribed hereunder.

 

General Policies

1. The Terms and Conditions governing BPI’s Products, Services, Facilities and Channels, the Preferred Banking Terms and Conditions, the BPI Online Banking Terms and Conditions and the BPI Mobile App, and the BPI Data Privacy Statement are hereby incorporated by reference and shall form an integral part of this Promo Terms and Conditions (the “BPI Terms and Conditions”). 

2. Employees of the BPI Group of Companies, merchants and advertising, and creative agencies who have partnered with any member of the BPI Group of Companies in relation to this Promo, including their relatives of up to second degree of consanguinity and affinity, are disqualified from joining the Promo. In case the qualified New-to-Bank client is found to be falling in any of the category described in this section, the client is automatically disqualified.

 

Promo Period

3. The Promo shall run from July 10, 2025 to September 15, 2025 (“Promo Period”).

 

Eligibility and Participation

4. The Promo shall be open to New-to-Bank (NTB) clients who perform ALL of the following activities during the Promo Period, subject to these terms and conditions:

a. Start a BPI Preferred Relationship

i. The client is NTB (as defined below) and is the primary account holder;

ii. Must have Total Relationship Balance (TRB) of at least one million pesos (PHP1,000,000) in fresh funds (as defined below), with at least 50% of this amount placed into a Build-Up Account, as specified below. 

b. Open a Build-Up Account

A Build-Up Account may be any of the following BPI Products:

i. Maxi-Saver

ii. Pamana Savings

iii. Saver Plus

c. Open an Investment Account

The NTB client must open an Investment Account under the BPI Group of Companies

d. Avail of a Debit Card or Apply for a BPI Platinum Rewards Card

 

5. For the purpose of this Promo:

a. New-to-Bank (“NTB”): Client has no existing active primary deposit or investment account/s from any of the relevant members of the BPI Group of Companies within the last twelve (12) months reckoned from the date of opening of account/s.

b. BPI Group of Companies: Bank of the Philippine Islands, BPI Direct BanKo Inc., BPI Investment Management Inc., BPI Capital Corporation, BPI Securities Corporation, and BPI Asset Management & Trust Corp. (BPI Wealth).

c. Total Relationship Balance (“TRB”)

i. Is based on the overall volume in deposits and/or investments with BPI;

ii. For BPI Preferred clients, a TRB of at least Php1,000,000.00 (or its foreign currency equivalent) to a maximum of Php4,999,999.99 (or its foreign currency equivalent) 

d. Fresh Funds Any money that does not come from the withdrawal or termination of any BPI deposit accounts, or from the termination of investments with any member of the BPI Group of Companies.

6. To participate in the Promo, the NTB client must fill out and sign The Preferred Experience Promo Form through their Relationship Manager (RM).  

7. BPI reserves the right to suspend or disqualify any person from further participation in the Promo, for violating the BPI Terms and Conditions or these Promo Terms and Conditions, which may result in the cancellation of participation rights or reversal of rewards. BPI will make reasonable efforts to provide prior notice, unless immediate action is necessary.

9. To qualify for the PHP 7,000 shopping credits, the NTB client must maintain the minimum Preferred TRB of PHP 1,000,000 for three (3) consecutive months from the date of account opening. Qualified NTB clients shall receive the PHP 7,000 Giftaway electronic credits 120 days after account opening. 

10. To earn ten (10) electronic raffle entries for the chance to win Philippine Airlines Flight Credits worth PHP 250,000 via Giftaway, the NTB must maintain the minimum Preferred TRB of PHP 1,000,000 for six (6) consecutive months from the date of account opening. There will be five (5) winners each per Raffle Draw and the Raffle Draw will occur in accordance with the Tracking Periods set forth below:

11. The NTB can earn ten (10) additional raffle entries if he/she is able to refer a NTB to join the Promo. Please see table below for illustration purposes:

12. The NTB may earn an additional PHP 3,000 Shopping Credits if they join within the first 30 days of the Promo, that is July 10, 2025 to August 9, 2025.

13. All prizes under the Promo shall not be convertible to cash, credit, privileges, rewards, and/or other items/products. They may not be exchanged with any other product.

14. Tax (including 20% withholding tax for prizes exceeding PHP 10,000), shall be shouldered by BPI. All other expenses that will be incurred in relation to the prize shall be shouldered by the winner. 

15. Participants who are eligible for the Raffle can only win once. 

 

Raffle Draw and Announcement of Winners

16. The raffle draw will be held on-site at the 7/F BPI Consumer Center, Dela Rosa Street corner Paseo De Roxas, Makati City and/or via Zoom in the presence of a Department of Trade and Industry (“DTI”) representative:

17. The winners of the raffle draw will be notified within ten (10) business days after the raffle draw date through their registered address, official email address, SMS, and their Relationship Manager. The notice will include the BPI Preferred Experience Winner Form, which should be accomplished by the raffle winners in the form and substance acceptable to the Bank. 

18. Winners are given sixty (60) business days from when they receive The Preferred Experience Winner Form to return the duly accomplished form to the Bank. Once the Bank has informed the winner that the duly accomplished form submitted by the winner has been validated by the Bank, the winner may redeem his/her prize within thirty (30) business days. Should a winner fail to return to the Bank the duly accomplished Preferred Experience Winner Form within the sixty (60)-business day period prescribed, the winner shall be deemed to have forfeited the prize, and the prize will be given to the back-up winner selected during the raffle draw. 

 

Dispute Resolution

19. In case of any dispute with respect to the Promo Terms and Conditions including Promo eligibility, BPI will make a decision with DTI concurrence, which will be considered final. All dispute related to this Promo will be accepted within sixty (60) banking days after the end of the Promo Period. However, this timeframe does not preclude the customer from pursuing further legal remedies provided by the law.

20. All eGCs in connection with the rewards are procured thru Giftaway Inc. Any issue/concern pertaining to the use of the eGC shall be raised to and addressed/settled by Giftaway Inc. The qualified NTB client shall have sole recourse against Giftaway Inc. in case of  any issue on the eGC and shall have no recourse against BPI, its directors, officers, employees, and representatives. 

 

Other Conditions

21. All new account openings are subject to existing policies and procedures of BPI.   

22. The Promo offered under this Promo Terms and Conditions may not be availed of in conjunction with any other on-going promotions or discounts.  

23. To the full extent allowed by applicable laws, all warranties, whether express or implied by law or statute, are excluded herein. BPI does not make any warranty, express or implied, with respect to any of the rewards items.   

24. BPI and its subsidiaries as well as its directors, stockholders, officers and employees are not liable and shall be held rendered free and harmless for any loss or damage (including direct, indirect and consequential loss) suffered or sustained by the Promo participants resulting from their participation in the Promo and receipt of the reward, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of BPI.

25. BPI, in concurrence with DTI, reserves the right to terminate, discontinue, or cancel the Promo at any time. 

26. BPI is authorized to give the necessary information to its third-party contractor or agent to complete the processing of the rewards of qualified NTB clients.
