There's no need to manually update your card information when your card details change.
Avoid declined transactions due to changes on your card details, such as having a new BPI ePay Mastercard card number as a result of an expired, lost, or stolen card.
*Card replacements due to lost or stolen cards will be implemented at a later date. An advisory will be sent to you once this is implemented.
For card renewal, the ABU service will still be implemented on March 27, 2021
It enables automatic updating of your enrolled card details to partner merchants of Mastercard in cases of card renewals or replacements. It will provide convenience because you won’t need to enter your new card details such as Card Number and Expiry dates because Mastercard will do it for you, to avoid payment interruptions or transaction declines. Card upgrades are not yet included in the automatic updating of card details.
Mastercard ABU is only available to participating merchants. For merchants that do not support ABU, you will have to manually update your enrollment with them whenever there are changes in your card number or card expiry.
As long as you are enrolled in the ABU Service, and your BPI ePay Mastercard is enrolled in ABU-participating merchants, Mastercard will continuously update the card details in your merchant enrollment. BPI, through Mastercard ABU, will provide the merchant with your new card details if you are issued a new card due to renewal, or if your card was replaced when the old card was lost or stolen.
