Give to worthy causes in this season of giving
Generosity abounds in the season of giving. On top of the usual gift-giving with friends, families, and colleagues, you can make a difference with a meaningful donation to two worthy causes supported by the BPI Foundation. What better way to mark this season than by extending your blessings towards initiatives that create value for and give back to others?
1. Make the World a Greener Place with Lakbay Luntian.
Lakbay Luntian - Visayas aims to reforest 171 hectares in Dumanjug, Cebu, with 136,800 upland trees.
This greening effort in Dumanjug is part of a long-term program by BPI, in partnership with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, to preserve and restore the country’s rainforests, a key source of livelihood for many communities.
“We encourage our employees, clients, and the general public to take part in this shared effort to offset our collective carbon footprint and help minimize climate risks,” said Owen Cammayo, Executive Director of BPI Foundation.
One can take part in protecting the environment by sponsoring and donating seedlings for only 60 pesos.

2. Kickstart the Next Batch of Farmer-Entrepreneurs with Farm To Table.
The BPI Foundation recently adopted a farming community of over 160 farmers in Majayjay, Laguna, through the Farm To Table program in partnership with AGREA, an organization that aims to build a fair-trade ecosystem for workers in the food production chain.
The initiative helps farming communities maximize their potential through sustainable best practices and provides farmers with relevant training including access to banking.
The goal is to “build better farmer-entrepreneurs who are adept at technology, know financial management, and have a genuine love for the environment,” said Cherrie Atilano, Founding Farmer and President of AGREA.
You can show your support when you visit the SOMO Weekend Market in Bacoor, Cavite, to buy fresh produce from our Majayjay farmers.
BPI aspires to create a financially inclusive society to spur responsible and sustainable growth by giving back and empowering underserved communities through BPI Foundation.
