Merry Extras with BPI: Frequently Asked Questions
The promo is open to all Principal cardholders of the following BPI Mastercard Credit Cards which are active and in good credit standing, have available credit limit, have valid and updated mobile number and/or email address in BPI Credit Cards’ system record:
a. Blue Mastercard
b. eCredit Mastercard
c. Edge Mastercard
d. Gold Mastercard
e. Petron-BPI Mastercard
To qualify for the promo, cardholders must fulfill the following requirements:
a. The Principal cardholder must register via the registration portal. Cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code sent by BPI through SMS, Viber and/or E-mail. A confirmation page will prompt, confirming receipt of his/her registration.
b. The Principal cardholder will receive a notification message from Giftaway on his/her successful registration through SMS and/or e-mail and a unique portal link for the spend progress within five (5) banking days from the registration date.
The following transactions are excluded in the promo:
MCCs: Merchant category code (MCC) is a four-digit number assign to every business that applies to accept credit cards. The number corresponds to the type of business or service the company offers.
No, only the Principal cardholder can register for the promo. However, all qualified purchases made by the Principal cardholder’s supplementary participating credit card(s) will also earn a corresponding eGC, subject to the promo terms and conditions.
After the Principal cardholder submits his/her registration, a page will prompt, confirming receipt of his/her registration. The Principal cardholder will be notified by Giftaway on the registration result through SMS and/or E-mail within five (5) banking days from the registration date.
I registered to the promo via the registration portal but did not get any response (No acknowledgment or Error message)
Please follow the registration instruction. The Principal cardholder must register via the registration portal. Cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code sent via BPI through SMS, Viber and/or E-mail. Also, the Principal cardholder must have an updated contact details in the BPI Credit Cards’ system where he/she will receive his/her unique promo code and registration confirmation.
The Principal cardholder’s unique promo code will be sent to the mobile number and/or e-mail address in BPI Credit Cards’ system records. cardholder will not be able to receive the communications with the promo code:
a. If his/her contact details are not updated. Cardholder may call the 24-hour BPI Contact Center at 889-10000 to inquire for his unique promo code.
b. If the mobile number and/or e-mail address is not updated in BPI Credit Card’s system records, it is the responsibility of the Principal cardholder to update his/her contact through the 24-hour BPI Contact Center at 889-10000 or BPI Branches.
I registered to the promo via the registration portal using the unique promo code sent by BPI via email, viber, or email and received an acknowledgement via the registration portal indicating that my registration has been received and submitted for validation. However, I did not receive an email and/or sms registration after five (5) banking days.
a. In case you have not received your registration confirmation via email in your normal inbox, you may check your spam or junk mail folder;
b. You may also try logging in the eGC Hub using your unique promo code to see if you are already registered; or
c. You may call the 24-hour BPI Contact Center at 889-10000 to inquire if you are already registered after five (5) banking days from your registration in the portal.
To redeem the eGC from qualified spend, cardholder must access his/her unique redemption portal via the eGC Hub where he/she can redeem his/her earned eGCs.
a. Cardholder must select Claim Now and choose the eGift Store for redemption.
b. A confirmation page will prompt, followed by the redemption notification sent via cardholders' registered contact info (SMS and/or email).
c. Cardholder will receive an eGift code from Giftaway via his/her registered mobile and/or email, with a link on how to use his/her redemption code. Specific redemption instructions are provided per merchant.
d. The redemption code is transferable to the Cardholders' nominated recipient as long as he meets the requirements in using the redemption code.
e. The unique portal link is found from the notification message sent via Giftaway for his/her successful registration through SMS and/or E-mail. Alternatively, cardholder may access the self-help link to be able to recover unique redemption link. The cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code. Cardholder will receive an OTP via his/her registered contact info for validation, and if successful, cardholder will be routed to his/her unique redemption page via the eGC Hub.
Earned eGCs can be redeemed within sixty (60) days from the posting date of the same at the eGC Hub. Each eGC will have a redemption period displayed in the portal.

Once I claim my eGC, will I be allowed to have multiple redemptions at multiple accredited Giftaway merchant partners per day?
Redemption to multiple merchant partners per day is allowed as long as they have unredeemed/unexpired eGCs. However, the number of redemptions per partner, per day varies per merchant. All terms and conditions relating to the eGC redemption as indicated in the redemption portal shall apply.
