Mastercard Holiday Shop Anywhere Promo: Frequently Asked Questions
The promo is open to all Principal cardholders of the following BPI Mastercard Credit Cards which are active and in good credit standing, have available credit limit, have valid and updated mobile number and/or email address in BPI Credit Cards’ system record:

g. Petron-BPI Mastercard
To qualify for the promo, cardholders must fulfill the following requirements:
a. The Principal cardholder must register via the registration portal. Cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code sent by BPI through SMS, Viber, and/or E-mail. A confirmation page will prompt, confirming receipt of his/her registration.
b. Cardholder may also register via text-in by texting BPI<SPACE>MCREG<SPACE><8 ALPHANUMERIC PROMO CODE> to 225687.
Example: BPI MCREG 1234ABCD A confirmation text message from Giftaway will be sent confirming receipt of his/her registration.
c. Cardholder may also register by scanning the promo QR code found in the campaign’s tentcards and select OOH ads. From here, they can access the registration portal .
d. The Principal cardholder will receive a notification message from Giftaway on his/her successful registration through SMS and/or E-mail and a unique portal link for the eGC Hub within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the date of registration.
Posted transactions from below are included in the promo:
a. Straight Retail transactions (Local)
b. Auto Charge
c. Online or Internet Transactions
d. Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions via Merchants
e. Foreign Currency Purchases (Straight only)
f. Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO)
The following transactions are excluded in the promo:
MCCs: Merchant category code (MCC) is a four-digit number assign to every business that applies to accept credit cards.
The number corresponds to the type of business or service the company offers.
If the qualified transactions match the category of the bonus round, then said transaction will be credited to both the accumulated spend progress and bonus round progress. e.g. SIP merchant transaction worth Php 25,000 made from an electronics/gadgets category store = one (1) SIP Merchant installment and one (1) electronics/gadget spend.
The Principal Cardholder has two options to register
a. Via the registration portal. Cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code sent via BPI through SMS, Viber and/or E-mail.
b. Via text-in by sending BPI<SPACE>MCREG<SPACE><8 ALPHANUMERIC PROMO CODE> to 225687
c. Via scanning of the promo QR code found in the campaign’s tentcards and select OOH ads. From here, they can access the registration portal.
After the Principal Cardholder submits his/her registration, a page will prompt, confirming receipt of his/her registration. The Principal Cardholder will be notified by Giftaway on the registration result through SMS and/or E-mail within five to seven (5-7) banking days from the registration date.
I registered to the promo via the registration portal but did not get any response (No acknowledgment or Error message)
Please follow the registration instruction. The Principal cardholder must register via the registration portal. The cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code sent by BPI through SMS, Viber and/or E-mail. Also, the Principal cardholder must have updated contact details in the BPI Credit Cards’ system records where he/she will receive his/her unique promo code and registration confirmation.
The Principal cardholder’s unique promo code will be sent to the mobile number and/or e-mail address in BPI Credit Cards’ system records. Cardholder will not be able to receive the communications with the promo code:
a. If his/her contact details are not updated. Cardholder may call the 24-hour BPI Contact Center at 889-10000 to inquire for his unique promo code.
b. If the mobile number and/or e-mail address is not updated in BPI Credit Card’s system records, it is the responsibility of the Principal cardholder to update his/her contact through the 24-hour BPI Contact Center at 889-10000 or BPI Branches.
c. If the BPI Mastercard Credit Card of the Principal Cardholder is blocked.
d. If the cardholder opted out of receiving BPI communications materials.
I registered to the promo via the registration portal using the unique promo code sent by BPI via SMS, viber, or email and received an acknowledgement via the registration portal indicating that my registration has been received and submitted for validation. However, I did not receive an email and/or SMS after five to seven (5-7) banking days.
a. In case you have not received your registration confirmation via email in your normal inbox, you may check your spam or junk mail folder;
b. You may also try logging in the eGC Hub using your unique promo code to see if you are already registered; or
c. You may call the 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000 to inquire if you are already registered after five to seven (5-7) banking days from your registration in the portal
Earned eGCs can be redeemed within sixty (60) days from the posting date of the same at the eGC hub. Each eGC will have a redemption period displayed in the portal.
a. For the tiered rewards or eGCs, redemption can be made within sixty (60) days from the date of earning/posting of rewards at the eGC hub. The validity date will be visible in the portal for the cardholder’s reference.
b. For the bonus eGifts, redemption can be made within sixty (60) days from the date of completion of the Bonus Rounds (5 categories, 3 more categories and 1 SIP merchant). The validity date will be visible in the eGC hub for the cardholder's reference.
a. Principal cardholder must select claim now and choose the eGift store for redemption.
b. A confirmation page will prompted, followed by the redemption notification sent via the cardholders’ registered contact information (SMS and/or email) in BPI Credit Cards system records.
c. Principal cardholder will receive the eGift code from Giftaway via his/her registered mobile and/or email, with a link on how to use his/her redemption code. Specific redemption instructions are provided per merchant.
d. The redemption code is transferable to the cardholders'’ nominated recipient as long as he/she meets the requirements in using the redemption code.
e. The unique portal link can be found from the notification message sent via Giftaway for his/her successful registration through SMS and/or E-mail. Alternatively, cardholder may access the self-help link to be able to recover unique redemption link. The cardholder will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code. The Principal cardholder will receive an OTP via his/her registered contact info for validation, and if successful, the Principal cardholder will be routed to his/her unique redemption page via the eGC Hub.
The Principal cardholder can earn up to maximum of Php 5,000 worth of eGCs (in Php 500 denominations). All terms and conditions relating to the use of eGC code redemption per merchant, as indicated in the redemption portal, shall apply. The Principal cardholder is only allowed to redeem once. Once a valid redemption has been made, the Principal cardholder will no longer qualify to accumulate spend and will no longer qualify for the next tier.
All unused and unredeemed eGC will be deactivated sixty (60) days from the date of posting of each eGC at the eGC Hub. Redemption period for the eGC posted in the eGC Hub will reflect the corresponding redemption period.
The Principal cardholder who has successfully completed the spending requirement in at least five (5) unique categories or makes a Special Installment transaction at Merchant is entitled to the bonus eGift(s).
Only the Principal cardholder who has reached the Php 50,000 minimum accumulated spend will qualify for the bonus round.
No. The Principal cardholder can access the self-help link to be able to login to the eGC hub. He/She will be asked to provide his/her unique promo code. He/She will receive an OTP via his/her registered contact information for validation, and if successful, he/she will be routed to his/her eGC hub.
