Promo Mechanics


How to Qualify


Step 1: Register

Only the Principal Cardholder is eligible to register in the promo. Follow these steps:


a. Register via the registration portal. You will need to input the unique promo code that is sent to your BPI registered mobile number and/or email address.


b. After registration, a page will appear to confirm the receipt of the registration.


c. You will be notified of the registration result via your mobile number or email address registered in BPI Credit Card’s records within 5 banking days.


Step 2: Spend and Track

Use a qualified BPI Mastercard Credit Card on all online and in-store (straight and installment at Merchant) purchases for a minimum accumulated spend requirement of Php 50, 000, Php 100,000 or Php 150,000 within the promo period. All qualified purchases made by the Principal Cardholder’s supplementary participating credit card(s) will be qualified for accumulation in the promo.


You can view your qualified purchases and total accumulated spend in the eGC hub. Use the same promo code that is sent to you to log in. This is updated within five (5) banking days from date of posted transaction.


Step 3: Redeem and Choose your Reward
Upon reaching the minimum accumulated spend requirement, Cardholder must redeem the eGCs in the eGC hub from the featured merchant partners via Giftaway.

Reminder: To proceed with the redemption, Giftaway will only ask for the unique promo code you previously provided. BPI and Giftaway will never ask for your card number, expiry date, CVV, One-time PIN via links in e-mail, SMS, or phone calls.


a. Cardholders must select Claim Now and choose the eGC Store for redemption.
Reminders: Cardholder is only allowed to redeem once. Once a valid redemption has been made, Cardholder will no longer qualify to accumulate spend for the next tier


b. A confirmation page will prompt, followed by the redemption notification sent via Cardholders' registered contact info (SMS and/or email).


c. Cardholder will receive an eGC from Giftaway via his registered mobile and/or email, with a link on how to use his redemption code. Specific redemption instructions are provided per merchant.


d. The redemption code is transferable to the Cardholders' nominated recipient as long as he meets the requirements in using the redemption code.


e. The eGC is for one-time use only.


Note: Redemption requests made outside of the redemption period will not be qualified.


Terms and Conditions

 
1. The Promo is open to all Principal Cardholders of the following BPI Mastercard Credit Cards (“Qualified Card”) whose accounts are active and current within the promo period and at the time of redemption:

2. Promo Period is from May 17, 2021 to August 16, 2021.


3. The Principal Cardholder must register via the registration portal link within the promo period. Refer to the Registration Mechanics for full details. The Principal Cardholder must have an updated contact details in the BPI Credit Cards’ system where he will receive his unique promo code.


4. Qualified Cardholder must reach the minimum accumulated spend requirement within the promo period to qualify for the reward of a given tier.

5. Qualified and posted transactions of registered Principal Cardholders will be posted in the eGC hub in the portal within five (5) banking days from the posting day of the transaction in the BPI Credit Card system.   


6. Redemption Period is from May 18, 2021 to October 15, 2021. Only redemption requests made within the redemption period will be accepted. All redemption attempts outside of the redemption period will not be qualified.


7. The following transactions are qualified, but not limited to:

  • Local and International: Retail/Straight Transactions   
  • Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions: Real 0% and Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions Monthly Add-on at Merchants
  • Auto Charge    
  • Foreign Currency Purchases (Straight only)
  • Online or Internet Transactions  
  • Mail Order/Telephone Order (MOTO)


8. The following transactions are excluded from this promo:

  • Cash advances (local or international)
  • Transactions from casino/gambling, money transfers, quasi cash financial institution, political organizations and bail & bond payment
  • Redemptions of rebates or Real Thrill Rewards
  • Transactions from stock trading, foreign exchange trading, financial trading services, remittance and the like; mobile payment/mobile wallet transactions and online payment system (such as but not limited to GrabPay, GCash, PayMaya, PayPal, Coins.ph, and the like)
  • Special Installment Plan (SIP) transactions via  Balance Transfer, Credit-to-Cash, other Non-Retail SIP Loan products

  • Business transactions such as but not limited to (i) direct or multi-level marketing, as well as from merchants specifically engaged in wholesale and distribution (ii) payment services and (iii) professional services.


9. The Principal Cardholder with qualified and posted transaction(s) may accumulate spend from May 17, 2021 to August 16, 2021. Transactions made prior to the successful date of registration will be included in the accumulation.


10. Multiple BPI Credit Cards sharing the same customer number will be considered as one unique customer. Qualified purchases earned across different BPI Credit Cards having the same Customer Number, will be computed as one and the Cardholder is only entitled to redeem once.


11. All qualified and posted transactions of the Principal Cardholder, including his Supplementary Cardholder(s), will be included in the computation of the minimum accumulated spend requirement.


12. The registered Principal Cardholder who reached a spend tier has 2 options in redeeming his eGC:

  • Redemption via merchant partners' physical store
  • Redemption via online (applicable to select online merchants like Shopee, Lazada, etc.)

13. All questions and issues arising from the Promo will only be accepted within sixty (60) banking days after the last day of promo period or not later than October 15, 2021, after which BPI will no longer accommodate disputes. Cardholder is only allowed to redeem once. When a valid redemption has been made, cardholder will no longer qualify to accumulate spend and will no longer qualify for the next tier.


14. Fraud, abuse, or any unauthorized action on credit card transaction or the participation/availment in the promo may result in the disqualification of the cardholder from the promo, suspension and/or cancellation of card privileges and/or the charge of the full value of the eGC to the Principal Cardholder’s account, according to BPI’s discretion.


15. In case of dispute with respect of BPI only and the customers' availment of the promo, the decision of BPI with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final. However, if dispute involves participating Merchant and its performance and/or delivery of products to customers, subject to the General Provisions set out above, the decision of BPI and participating Merchant with the concurrence of DTI shall be considered final.


16. BPI is authorized to give necessary information to its third-party contractor or agent to perform and complete the registration process and redemption process of the eGC(s).


17. Terms and conditions governing the issuance and use of BPI Credit Cards and reminders and other provisions contained in the card carrier, statement of account, charge slips and other documents or instruments, which are made an integral part hereof by reference, shall likewise be resorted to in instances where they are applicable to this promo campaign.


Registration Mechanics

1. The Principal Cardholder must register via the registration portal using his unique promo code sent by BPI through SMS, Viber and/or email.


2. After the Principal Cardholder registers the promo code in the portal, a confirmation page will prompt, confirming receipt of his registration.


3. The Principal Cardholder will receive a notification message from Giftaway on the successful registration through SMS and/or e-mail and a unique portal link for the spend progress within five (5) banking days from the registration date.


4. A successful registration is required to qualify in the promo. The Principal Cardholder will NOT be qualified to join the promo if the Principal Cardholder has NOT registered to the promo using his unique promo code.


5. Only the Principal Cardholder is allowed to register for the promo. All qualified and posted transactions of the Principal Cardholder, including his supplementary card(s), will be accumulated. The eGC(s) will be sent to the Principal Cardholder’s mobile and/or email per BPI Credit Card’s system.


6. By completing his registration, the Cardholder agrees that his personal information shall be subject to the confidentiality, data privacy, and the security terms of the service provider, Giftaway.


7. Should there be any changes in the contact details within the promo period, it is the responsibility of the Principal Cardholder to update his or her contact information in BPI Credit Cards’ system records by calling our 24-hour BPI Contact Center at (+632) 889-10000.


Redemption Mechanics

1. To redeem the eGC, the Principal Cardholder must access the unique link sent to his registered SMS and/or email. This serves as his unique redemption portal. The customer can also log into the eGC hub and use his promo code to log in.


2.    The Principal Cardholder must choose among the featured eGC partners under the essential categories (supermarket, department store, eComm marketplaces, service and dining).

3. The Principal Cardholder who has reached a minimum accumulated spend hurdle is entitled to redeem the eGC Value of the corresponding tier.


4. Cardholder is allowed only to redeem once. Once a valid redemption has been made, cardholders will no longer be qualified to accumulate spend for the higher tier.


5. All terms and conditions relating to the use of eGC code redemption per merchant, as indicated in the redemption portal, shall apply.


6. The eGC is not valid in conjunction with any ongoing promos.


7. All unused eGC will be deactivated by the end of the Redemption Period.


8. Once a valid redemption is made, it cannot be cancelled, reversed or applied to another item, or eGC.


9. The Cardholder is responsible for safekeeping his eGC and his redemption portal link. BPI and the Merchant partner shall not replace the redeemed eGC code.


10. The Cardholder agrees that should his or her redemption be found to be fraudulent, BPI shall have the right to charge the cost of the reward to his BPI Credit Card.
