As we continue to work on enhancing your banking experience, we will undergo a scheduled systems maintenance activity on March 12, 2023, Sunday, from 12 AM to 12 PM.


During this time, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:

  • BPI ATMs and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs)
  • BPI Debit Card transactions via any ATM, POS, online platform or other channel


BPI Online, BPI app, BPI Credit Card and Prepaid Card services will remain available.

Frequently asked questions

When will the systems maintenance activity take place and which BPI services will be unavailable during the activity?

We will undergo a systems maintenance activity from March 12, 2023 (Sunday), 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

During this time, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:

a. BPI ATMs and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs)
b. BPI Debit Card transactions via any ATM, POS, online platform or other channel


Who will be affected by the systems maintenance activity?

a. All BPI clients who plan to use BPI ATMs and CAMs
b. BPI Debit Card cardholders who will use their cards for any transaction with any bank’s ATM or POS, for any e-commerce transaction, for password reset, and for activation of mobile number update via the BPI app.

Which BPI Prepaid Card and Credit Card services will be available?

All BPI Prepaid and Credit Card services will remain unaffected by this maintenance activity.

Will the branches be open to assist me?

We encourage you to plan ahead and schedule your branch visits and transactions before the systems maintenance activity. For your branch visit, you may check our branch schedule here.

I may need cash on hand during the downtime period. When and how should I withdraw and continue to use my debit card on other transactions?

Please withdraw your cash from your debit account and pay your POS and online debit transactions ahead of the systems maintenance activity to avoid any inconvenience. You may also use your BPI Prepaid Card or BPI Credit Card to complete these transactions where they apply.

I have scheduled payments through BPI Auto Debit Arrangement (ADA) on those dates. Will this maintenance activity affect my BPI ADA transactions?

Since the activity will happen outside of banking hours on Sunday, March 12, 2023, your scheduled BPI ADA transactions that fall within the duration of the maintenance activity will be processed on the next banking day which is on Monday, March 13, 2023.

Can I withdraw using my BPI Debit Card from BPI and non-BPI ATMs during the systems maintenance activity?

No. Please plan ahead and make your cash withdrawals at any time before March 12, 2023 (Sunday), 12:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Can I do international withdrawals?

No. All BPI Debit Card services, including international withdrawals, will be unavailable during the systems maintenance activity. You may use your BPI Prepaid or Credit Cards for international withdrawals or cash advance, subject to applicable fees

I have a non-BPI card (local or foreign), can I still use BPI ATMs?

No. We recommend that you do your transactions prior to or after the scheduled maintenance activity. Your card issuer may charge fees on top of BPI fees to process your transaction.

If I need money, in cases of emergency, what are my options?

Cash options
a. If you have a BPI Credit Card, you can do Cash Advance via non-BPI ATMs. You will need your PIN to activate the Cash Advance feature. This will be subject to a Cash Advance fee and other service fees.
b. If you have a pre-loaded BPI ePay Mastercard/Visa Prepaid Card, you can withdraw via non-BPI ATMs. You will need your PIN to activate and proceed with your withdrawal. This will be subject to usage fees of non-BPI ATMs.

Payment options
a. You may use your BPI Credit Card for in-store and online purchases.
b. You may use your pre-loaded retail or corporate BPI ePay Mastercard/Visa and Amore Visa for in-store and online purchases.

We encourage you to plan accordingly and do your urgent transactions (CAM deposits, ATM withdrawals, BPI Online and BPI Mobile app transactions) before the systems maintenance activity.

I have post-dated checks scheduled on those dates. Will the system maintenance activity have an effect on my post-dated checks?

Since the activity will happen outside of banking hours on Sunday, March 12, 2023, when there is no clearing of checks, your post-dated checks will not be affected. However, please ensure that your checking accounts are sufficiently funded.

When can I see my updated transaction history and/or statement of account?

Your transaction history will be updated right after the completion of the systems maintenance activity.
