Advisory: BPI Debit Mastercard Maintenance from March 6, 2021 to March 7, 2021


We will undergo a scheduled systems maintenance activity for BPI Debit Mastercard from March 6, 2021 (Saturday), 11:00 PM, to March 7, 2021 (Sunday), 6:00 PM.


During this time, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:

  • ATM, Cash Acceptance Machines (CAMs), and point-of-sale (POS) transactions using BPI Debit Mastercard
  • Online transactions using BPI Debit Mastercard
  • Card Control services (adjusting your withdrawal or purchase limit, enabling or disabling your international or e-commerce access, and temporarily or permanently blocking your card via BPI Online and Mobile app)
  • Password reset using BPI Debit Mastercard  
  • Activation of Update Mobile Number via BPI Mobile app


All other card services will remain accessible. Please plan your transactions accordingly.

When will the scheduled systems maintenance activity take place?

Our systems maintenance activity is scheduled from March 6, 2021 (Saturday), 11:00 PM, to March 7, 2021 (Sunday), 6:00 PM.

Who will be affected by the systems maintenance activity?

All clients with a BPI Debit Mastercard.

Which services will be unavailable during the activity?

During this time, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:
1. ATM, Cash Acceptance Machines (CAMs), and point-of-sale (POS) transactions using BPI Debit Mastercard
2. Online transactions using BPI Debit Mastercard
3. Card Control services (adjusting your withdrawal or purchase limit, enabling or disabling your international or e-commerce access, and temporarily or permanently blocking your card via BPI Online and Mobile app)
4. Password reset using BPI Debit Mastercard  
5. Activation of Update Mobile Number via BPI Mobile app

All other card services will remain accessible.

Will BPI Debit EMV Cirrus Card services be available?

Yes.

Will BPI Prepaid and Credit Card services be available?

Yes.

Will the branches be open to assist me?

Branches will be open on March 8, 2021. We highly encourage you to plan ahead and schedule transactions before the maintenance activity.

I have bills to pay during that date. When and how should I pay them?

We encourage you to pay your bills ahead of the systems maintenance activity to avoid penalties and charges.

Can I still withdraw from BPI and non-BPI ATMs using my BPI ATM/Debit card during the maintenance activity?

No. You may withdraw before 11 PM on March 6, 2021 or after 6:00 PM on March 7, 2021.

Can I make international withdrawals?

For BPI Debit Mastercard, services will not be available during the maintenance activity.

For BPI Debit EMV Cirrus, Red and Gold services will be available during the maintenance activity.

If I need money, in cases of emergency, what are my options?

Cash Options
1. If you have a BPI Debit EMV Cirrus (Red or Gold) Card, you may make a withdrawal via BPI and non-BPI ATMs.
2. If you have a BPI Credit Card, you may make a Cash Advance via BPI and non-BPI ATMs. You will need your PIN to activate Cash Advance. This will be subject to applicable fees.
3. If you have a pre-loaded BPI ePay Mastercard/Visa prepaid card, you can withdraw via BPI and non-BPI ATMs. You will need your PIN to activate and proceed with your withdrawal.

Payment Options
1. You may use your BPI Debit EMV Cirrus (Red or Gold) Card for in-store purchases.
2. You may use your BPI Credit Card for in-store and online purchases.
3. You may use your retail or corporate BPI ePay Mastercard/Visa and Amore Visa for in-store and online purchases.

We encourage you to plan ahead and schedule your transactions or withdraw cash prior to the maintenance activity.
