Advisory: BPI Debit Mastercard Maintenance


We will undergo a scheduled systems maintenance activity on October 12, 2020, Monday, 12:00 AM - 6:00 AM.


During this time, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:

  • BPI Debit Mastercard transactions via BPI ATMs and Cash Acceptance Machines (CAMs), other bank’s ATMs, and POS
  • BPI Debit Mastercard online transactions
  • Card Control services (Adjusting your withdrawal or purchase limit, enabling or disabling your international or e-commerce access and temporarily or permanently blocking your card via BPI Online and Mobile app)
  • Password Reset using Debit Card
  • Activation of the Update Mobile Number service via mobile app


Our BPI EMV Cirrus Debit Card, Credit Card, and Prepaid Card services will remain accessible.

Which services will be unavailable during the activity?

• BPI Debit Mastercard transactions via BPI ATMs and Cash Acceptance Machines (CAMs), other bank’s ATMs, and POS.

Will prepaid and credit card services be available?

Yes.

Will the branches be open to assist me?

Branches will be open on October 12, 2020. We highly encourage you to plan ahead and schedule transactions before the maintenance activity.

I have bills to pay during that date. When and how should I pay them?

We encourage you to pay your bills ahead of the system maintenance activity to avoid penalties and charges. You may also pay them after 6:00 AM on October 12, 2020, once the maintenance activity is complete.

Can I still withdraw from BPI and non-BPI ATMs using my BPI ATM/Debit card?

Yes, as long as your debit card is not a BPI Debit Mastercard. Services for other BPI Debit Cards are available during the systems maintenance activity. We highly encourage you to withdraw cash ahead of time.

Can I do international withdrawals?

• For BPI Debit Mastercard, services are temporarily unavailable during the 6-hour maintenance activity.
• For BPI EMV Cirrus: Red and Gold services will be available during the maintenance activity.

If I need money, in cases of emergency, what are my options?

Cash Options
• If you have a BPI Credit Card, you may make a Cash Advance via BPI and non-BPI ATMs. You will need your PIN to activate Cash Advance. This will be subject to applicable fees.
• If you have a pre-loaded ePay Mastercard/Visa prepaid card, you can withdraw via BPI and non-BPI ATMs. You will need your PIN to activate and proceed with your withdrawal.

Payment Options
• You may use your BPI Credit Card for in-store and online purchases.
• You may use your retail or corporate ePay Mastercard/Visa and Amore Visa for in-store and online purchases.

We encourage you to plan ahead and schedule your transactions or withdraw cash prior to the maintenance activity.
