Effectivity Dates of the New Fees for BPI Prepaid Cards

Advisory: BPI Debit Mastercard Maintenance on January 26, 2021


We will undergo a scheduled systems maintenance activity on January 26, 2021, Tuesday, 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM.


During this time, the following services will be temporarily unavailable:

  • BPI Debit Mastercard transactions via BPI ATMs and Cash Accept Machines (CAMs), other banks’ ATMs, and Point-of-sale terminals
  • BPI Debit Mastercard online transactions
  • Card Control services (adjusting withdrawal or purchase limits, enabling or disabling international or e-commerce access, and temporarily or permanently blocking one's card via BPI Online and Mobile app)
  • Password reset using debit card
  • Activation of updated mobile number via mobile app


Our BPI EMV Cirrus Debit Card, Credit Card, and Prepaid Card services will remain accessible. Please plan your transactions accordingly.

Effectivity Dates of the New Fees for BPI Prepaid Cards


Please be advised on the effectivity dates of the following changes in fees for BPI Prepaid Cards.

Monthly installment amortizations shall be included in the computation of the following:

  • Finance Charge, if a portion of the billed amount remains unpaid
  • Minimum Amount Due*, at a reduced rate of 3.57%

*If you have multiple cards, the Minimum Amount Due for each card will be reflected in your Statement of Account as the summed up Total Minimum Amount Due.

We are pleased to announce the upcoming changes in the rates and fees for BPI and BPI Family Savings Bank Credit Cards effective November 3, 2020:

Please be advised on the effectivity dates of the following changes in the fees and charges for BPI and BFB Credit Cards:

• The interest computation of the unpaid balance from the previous Statement of Account (SOA) shall be computed based on the Daily Balance vs. the current Average Daily Balance. The daily interest is computed by multiplying the daily balance with the daily interest rate for each day (360 days annually) and will be aggregated within the statement period.


• Monthly installment amortizations shall be included in the Finance Charge computation.

April 3, 2020

• Minimum Amount Due* computation will include monthly installment amortizations.


*If you have multiple cards, the Minimum Amount Due for each card will be summed up and reflected in your Statement of Account as Total Amount Due.
