Updates on BPI Real Thrills Rewards Program



Our Real Thrills Rewards just got better.


In November, your credit card rewards points will be merged with BPI’s bank-wide rewards program, which will also allow you to view, redeem, and track your bank rewards conveniently with just one app.


As we move to the unified rewards program, we are combining all points in one currency that will be called BPI Points. As such, if you have Real Thrills Rewards Premium points, these will be converted to BPI Points at the conversion rate of 1 RTR Premium = 2 BPI Points. These converted points will be combined with your BPI Points earned starting November 2022, from your other BPI credit cards.


Meantime, you can continue to earn and redeem rewards with the current BPI Real Thrills Rewards Program.

Starting August 1, 2022, any card activation request for Amore Visa Prepaid cards will no longer be processed. Please activate your cards immediately if you have not yet done so.


To activate your card, just text IM<space>ON<space>AMOREGO<space>last 10 digits of card number and send to 0922-999-6000 for all networks. Card will be activated in 1-2 banding days upon validation.

Updates on the Minimum Amount Due (MAD) computation for Credit Cards


Please be advised that effective July 2022, the computation of the Minimum Amount Due billed in BPI and BFSB Credit Card monthly statements shall be revised as follows.


If your Total Outstanding Balance (TOB) is:

  • Less than or equal to Php 850, MAD shall be equal to the TOB
  • More than Php 850: Compute 3.57% of the difference of the TOB and the sum of new retail purchase, new cash advance transactions, and adjustments posted during the statement month.


If the computed amount is:

Less than or equal to Php 850

Minimum Amount Due is Php 850 plus 100% of past due amount, if any.

More than Php 850

Minimum Amount Due is equal to the computed amount, plus 100% of past due amount, if any.

Replacement of your Amore Cashback Card

Replacement of your Amore Cashback Card


Please be informed that we will be replacing your Amore Cashback Card free of charge. This is to avoid instances where your card may require a PIN for purchases at certain stores.


Kindly note the process and changes to be applied in replacing your card:


We will create and deliver a new Amore Cashback Card for you and your supplementary (if any) within the next 2 months. Upon receiving the card, please activate it immediately. Your old Amore Cashback Card will only be cancelled upon activation of your new Amore Cashback Card.


  • Your new Amore Cashback Card will have a new card number.
  • If you are enrolled in Meralco via BPI Autocharge, your enrollment will be transferred to your new Amore Cashback Card upon activation. If you are enrolled in automatic payments of other merchants, you will need to coordinate with the merchant to transfer your enrollments. Here’s a guide on how to transfer enrollments from top merchants.

The Philippine banking industry will implement acquirer-based fees for ATM transactions effective April 7, 2021.


BPI clients can continue using their BPI Debit cards at BPI ATMs free of charge.


Transaction fees may vary when using local non-BPI ATMs via BancNet. The withdrawal fee shall be automatically added to the amount withdrawn. The balance inquiry fee will be shown as a separate debit amount which will be reflected in your Statement of Account (SOA) on the day the transaction was made.

Please be advised on the effectivity dates of the following changes in the fees and charges for BPI and BFB Credit Cards:

• The interest computation of the unpaid balance from the previous Statement of Account (SOA) shall be computed based on the Daily Balance vs. the current Average Daily Balance. The daily interest is computed by multiplying the daily balance with the daily interest rate for each day (360 days annually) and will be aggregated within the statement period.


• Monthly installment amortizations shall be included in the Finance Charge computation.

April 3, 2020

• Minimum Amount Due* computation will include monthly installment amortizations.


*If you have multiple cards, the Minimum Amount Due for each card will be summed up and reflected in your Statement of Account as Total Amount Due.
