The New BPI Hotline Number: 889-10000

Effective October 6, 2019, BPI’s hotline number will now be 889-10000, in compliance with the memorandum of the National Telecommunications Commission that all telephone numbers in the “02” area code will have 8 digits.


Below are the new ways to dial the BPI hotline number:

We will also change all BPI, BPI Family Savings Bank, and BanKO numbers that carry the “02” area code.

Example: BPI Makati Main branch’s telephone number changes from (02) 864-9404 to (02) 8864-9404.


Other affected numbers include the following:
• All BPI Head Office numbers
• All BPI, BPI Family Savings Bank, and BanKO branches in the Greater Metro Manila Area (GMMA)


During the migration, there will be a downtime period from 12:01AM to 5:00AM. In order to service your banking needs during this period, we will be providing Globe mobile numbers, which will be announced on a later date.

What is the NTC Memorandum Circular 4-07-2018 about?

The directive by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) ordering all telecommunications companies in the Philippines to migrate all telephone numbers with "02" area code from the existing 7-digit format to an 8-digit format has been deferred to October 6, 2019.

​​​​​​​This is to give local banks and credit card companies ample time prepare for the change.

Which customers are affected by the memorandum? Will this affect my number if I'm outside the (02) area code?

The NTC memorandum circular applies to all telephone numbers within the specified area code “02”.

Customers outside these (02) area codes are not covered by the NTC memo and will continue to use their existing 7-digit number format.

When will the migration to an 8-digit number format happen?

The scheduled migration as agreed amongst NTC and the telecom providers is set on October 6, 2019, from 12:01 AM - 5 AM.

What will happen during the migration? What services will be affected?

On October 6, 2019, from 12:01 AM – 5:00 AM, the 89-100 hotline will experience a service interruption and will be unable to receive any calls.
